Fooled around and fell in love 2 girls in their 20s, and an autistic son who is 23 y.o. We have too many pets to count and believe that a sense of humor helps to win the battles that this life presents. I hope to spiel my crazy self onto these pages before the poison peaks. Oh yeah, my husband never stops talking.. "All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong?" The Beatles

Who knows Heimlich Manuever?

Rate: 2 Flag
Choking on Adulthood. That's what's happening to my daughter. It's as if she's in some kind of food eating contest. She dives in head first, ripping and barely chewing huge hunks, and because I'm her mother, I warn "careful, you're going to choke", and because she's my kid, she ignores me. And she chokes. Not every time. Less once, more recently.
But the paths to Adulthood are treacherous, and I believe she's choking but I don't think everyone knows the Heimlich Manuever.

Sometimes we have to stand by and watch our grown children behave in ways we find dangerous or objectionable. I'm glad you're there for her and you love her. That will help her navigate adulthood more than she may be able to express to you. Paws up (rated).
That was always one of my biggest fears with my kids. My youngest is 12 and I still don't like him eating when he is alone. I took infant/child CPR years ago but could use a refresher course.
