Quirky Bits and Ponderings of Life with Photos

Rate: 13 Flag

untitled Fred's new fur coat "Fred's" new fur coat.  Once he was just black and white.  Now, he is auburn mix.  See the bewildered look on "Fred's" face?  He knows not who he is.

Doe's anyone?

Adolescence.

IMG_1016 OK, so this is the coolest photo taken at a grammar school playground, right?  Of course, this is my grandson, but apart from that, this is a totally cool photo of some scary dimensional hole in the kid's playground.  And, we wonder why kid's have nightmares?   Grownups taking pictures of their kids or grandkids, whatever the case may be, of wierd architectural playground structures, from which, scary stuff is imbedded in our youngsters minds forever?  Or simply collective memories of a happy childhood.

Pride

yummy And, so, when did chocolate covered strawberries become the foreplay of the god's and why exactly is this sexy?  Someone left the leafy berry turdlit on the lower left of this photo!  That is just wrong.

Delusion.

IMG_0349 Let's face it.  Girls scare the hell outta men.  If it wasn't for sex, men would run faster than the speed of light at the sight of a female.  Right?  If looks could kill?

Reality.

untitled Preggers Mama "The rabbit died."

Duh.  (And who exactly said that women look more beautiful when they are pregnant?!)

Procreation.

untitled ARTSIE MAMA'S A doctor, lawyer, author, actress, heiress.  A domestic goddess, a mother, teacher, sister, best friend.  Sassy women, all.  Vital bonds of womanhood.

Dedication

mai9F8 When you cross illusion with the color blue you get, "bluesion."  My eyes get lost in this photo.  How far will this path go before you know you are lost?  Will you turn back or swim?

Challenge.

.CIMG3284 Tiki torch flame mimicking the flaming sky at day's end.  Death of another day.  Beginning to an enchanting evening.

Rebirth

IMG_3037 Who's memories, these days of leisure and comraderie?  Time lapse.  Old photos.  Some will remain friends forever.  Others have already forgotten.

Remembrance.

maiA03 Footprints in the sand. Making one's path through life.  Finding direction and trodding on.  Soft sand beneath our feet.  Comforts in life.  Passion and pursuit of strengths yet to be found.  Continuing where others left off.  Promises made to oneself, most important of all.

Synchronicity.

Winter Seasons cycle through to another year.  Life begins again.  Restructures it's patterns, unique as snowflakes, unpredictable as nature unto itself.

Existence.

Really just some stuff I was thinking about last night and into this morning. Jetting away from this place soon.
Just when I think I have you figured out, you add another dimension. Wow. Thank you. Beautiful.
Awesome use of the visual! --rated--
Some great pix, Cathy. Thanks for inviting me. I enjoyed thoroughly...and identified where appropriate.
Lovely, as usual. I know that you will bring wonderful memories back from the islands and will create another paradise here on the mainland for yourself and your loved ones.

Monte
Beautiful... you made my mind wander...
Love your musings. So many dimensions to life. Welcome home.
luvya always :)
Lovely photos.

Although I now have 'Some Enchanted Evening' running through my head.
Excellent and beautiful post, but why does this stick in my head? "Someone left the leafy berry turdlit on the lower left of this photo! That is just wrong."
I always thought of this as the stem and now I learn that it's a turdlit. Never stop learning, that's what I like to say.
You have a fine way with words, Cathy!
Hmm---tried 3 times to rate this and it wouldn't move the number! I look at that girls face and am not scared---I wonder what she's saying!
I like what you say about girls and boys. And I love the photo of the grandkid. And I agree that no one should leave detritus on a plate like that.:)

MiddleAge WomanBlogging - Thanks much
Mary - Thanks, sissy. Good to be back but sleepy.
Trig - Back at ya! xo
Romantic Heretic - Thanks and enjoy the melody!
Michael - You crack me up! Sometimes the words just invent themselves in the moment and I happen to be there to use them in a sentence.
Chicago Guy - "She" scares lots of men on occasion!" She's my youngest and that is actually one of her best friends. Caught them in a heated discussion about something? Passionate young lady.
Lisa - "Detritus" - Another great word and a first for me. Thanks!
Theo - Thanks so much!

All your comments are so appreciated and warm my day.
Thanks for the reveries. ;-)
