I Like Halloween! (haiku...ghoulishious)

Rate: 17 Flag

m2

I like Halloween

All the ghouls and the goblins!

I am not a'scared!

s1572960002_30008622_525 BLUE PROFILE

I like dressing up

and being a hobo beatnik!

What is that, you say!

It was long ago.

I was twelve and just too old.

I felt out of place.

But now I'm gramma

and I get to start again!

Bringing out the orange...

The pumkins galore,

the kiddie costumes delight;

grandkids at the door!

G'Dog is a Knight.

His armour a shiny glow;

his smile so bright!

While little Sydney,

barely old enough to know,

wears pumpkin proudly...

upon her tiny onesie!

Don't come to my door

If you're driving and voting!

Grabbing all you can!

That's just obnoxious!

And you know who you all are!

Looking like you care.

Don't let me find you

teepeeing my house and trees!

A spell I will cast!

And don't waste the eggs!

A twisted frog you will be.

A cackle is heard.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloweenie!!!

Little Sydney is a riot; she deserves her own holiday.
Beautiful post, Cathy.

Rated for soooooo sweet.
I thought the cutest baby costume I'd ever seen was a tiny bumble bee, but Sydney is cuter yet in that little pumpkin suit!

Rated.
What a little baby doll! Let's have treats this year! Rated.
ahhhh Sydney :) scary that one, in a good way
There is something so cool about kids reigniting Halloween's fun in us children long grown old. ~R~
Have a great Halloween, Ms C. Looks like the spirit is alive and well at your place cool lady. Have a good one.
That's the cutest pumpkin ever!
My Halloween Haiku reply.

I was a hobo.
Before they were called homeless.
I was in sixth grade.

Rated!
Awesome . . . that's the fun part of Halloween!
TRICK OR SWEET! That post was overflowing with sweetness...I need to see a dentist. I need a huge bag of potato chips after reading that post. Just give me a tablespoon of salt. That should do it. How come you got all Mom's nice person genes and I'm more like Dad? So unfair.
For this, I just have to say, AWWWWW.
Sweet. I was a hobo, too. But I think I said I was a "bum." Maybe because I lived in Brooklyn.
Super rated fun on for Hallows Eve. Super rated for Sydney sweetness!
Thanks all for stopping by for a little "treat!"
HH to you and your family Cathy.
Your joyfulnees surely shines thru in this post. I must say, tho, I can't see the kids eating goulash after all that candy.
Happy Halloween Cathy. thanks for the treat.
I could nibble on little Sydney all day. What a sweetie.
You are sooo sweet, loving, creative and great photos!!! You have such a positive and glowing outlook on Halloween -- like the inside of a lit pumpkin with a smiley face.

Mary's right. You got mom's sweet genes. I got her bad ones and dad's bad ones too. But bad plus bad = good, doesn't it? Two negatives equal a positive? I'm try'n. ;-)
I looked up haiku

you did not make one boo boo

I am proud of you

How's that? I think the Japanese versions are supposed to speak first to a season and then something else so I've got to brush up on this.

I'm now convinced I have Irish Limmericks in my genes and an acquired taste for Shakespearean sonnets because I feel like I'm stepping on cracks trying to read Haikus. You're good, Cath!!

So,

There once was a girl from the Butte
Who liked to holler and hoot.
When from the top of the mountain
She fell into a fountain
And scraped her knee and said "shoot."
Bonzie! Your limmerick is perfect! And knowing you, you already know that the trick to a standard haiku is in the line syllables:
5 - 7 - 5
Simple as pie!
Example for my Jo jo:

Sister number two
Though she may seem far away
is so very loved!

xoxo
Oops! Big sister a little slow on the uptake! You did me proud with your own haiku! Big Duh!
Yeah, baby. 5-7-5. Go to Mary's pumpkin blog if you wish. I left a few more Limericks for her there -- near the bottom. Love you, Sister No. 1! God, if we all join OS we'll all become numbers again! You're #1, I'm #2 and Mary #4. And not in order of importance!!! ;-) love ya!
That little pumpkin baby is just precious!!
I like Halloween also! Pity that it is not so popular in my country :/
