The beach and dock at Camp Richardson, Lake Tahoe, taken from the Beacon Restaurant during a recent breakfast. The beach boy was getting everything ready for the crowd of tanning hopefuls which arrived soon after.

As the morning grew longer, that big cloud took on more and more of a flying saucer appearance. It was a bit freaky as it grew in size. Nothing a "Rum Runner" couldn't solve.
So, we said a sad farewell to a Spring season that never blossomed and a big hello to the Summer season that blasted in, full throttle!
With recent temps rising well into the 80's with predicted 90's in the week's forecast, the late evenings and early mornings in the 30's are now a foggy memory.
Yesterday afternoon, my daughter, Kelly, surprised me with an iPhone message filled with pictures of their first official summer day at home with the kids.
This surprised and delighted me to see, as only a few weeks ago, my grand kids were still wearing their winter jackets and boots due to more snow in May.
Sorry for this, but just a week after we returned the summer furniture to the deck, it snowed another few inches in late May.
So much for Springtime in Tahoe! Hope you enjoy these next pics more and as much as I did. I am ecstatic to see that summer is finally here!
A make shift sprinkler on a tri-pod, only a little boy can fully appreciate. He is 3.3 years old and full of the dickens. He simply took off his shirt and pants and went for it! He left his sneakers on! That's my grandson for you.
15 months and sister, Sydney Rose, watched as her brother ran back and forth from the sprinkler, giggling and full of mischief. Posed against the tree, Sydney was sizing this up for herself. She suspiciously maintained her composure while her brother had all the fun.
Could someone please get this pasty white kid some sunscreen! "Hey mom! Look what I did!" Kelly said he actually stripped off his skivvies as well but she made him wear the disposable swim briefs for his escapades in the front yard! We have all experienced the sudden burst of cold water and what that can do!
Graydon was sitting on his six year old Belgian, "Baker" earlier in the afternoon. Graydon was all thumbs up as he held onto Baker's mane with one hand and posed for the picture before Baker was loaded into the trailer to head out to Napa for a Medieval Summer Event at a private winery. Daddy would be jousting on Baker and later entertaining with a carefully coreographed sword fight, outfitted entirely in his fortified silver armor, head to toe.
And, back in the Bay, my deck now inhabitable; with no more need for winter layers is now full of flowers to bring in the summer rush of color.
I potted like a maniac over the last two days to prepare the deck for summer guests arriving soon.
The sultry warm summer evenings are the perfect recipe for "deck weather," hanging out and dining outside. "Table for two, with a view, please."
We're all thumbs up for a bright and sunny summer! It couldn't have come soon enough for me.
Get your summer ON!

It's going to be a cooker today! Maybe 90ish! No AC here so pulling out all the fans.
Thanks, all for stopping by to see my "sunny post." It's such a welcome change after way too much cold, windy, foggy, snowy weather. It fills me with child-like energy and will likely get me into some trouble.
