Becoming Blue Becomes You

Rate: 20 Flag

photo

Purest blue of skies
Listening to the cries
Of many urgent whys
Softly uttered sighs.

Can you be so blue?

photo

In bushes so blue with bees
Troubling for few
Who love to be blue
Her blossoms reach to the sky
Blue never asks why.

Why do I?

2509_1121575593255_1043010025_30691525_4405281_s Leafy Star Fish

Under the surface where blue is true
Barely making it to the shore
Where blue is ever more
She waits for you
In times of blue.

What is it we do?

photo

Blue surrounds you
Beyond the freezing sand
It covers you in serenity
Filters through and through.
Look not away from blue
It has already become you.

This I knew.

photo

Cannot guarantee never to be blue
With all that distance
Farther away from you.
Can't you hear the sound of blue?
I listen closely to the hue of you.

If only you knew.

photo

You can stand on high
So far above me when you choose
But if you take me away from blue
Then we both will loose.
The air is so thin where bluest blue reigns.
Successes and failures, in bluest light reigns.

When only blue remains.

photo

Can we look beyond the blue
Into the deepest part of night?
Can we count the stars along the way
The blinding moons that tick away our days...
I believe we might.

Wouldn't that be a delight.

photo

Steal away in the night
Waking up all right
Dipping into the blue
Immersed in you.

What else can we do?

photo

Good night
And good day
To you.

photo

Embracing the blue.

With so many shades of blue,
What comes to mind for you?
Blue is my favorite color but not my favorite mood. Your pictures and verse were lovely on a gray day.
Blue is my catnip. Great words, love the photos. ~R~
I love blue.
What an eye/ear you have, Cathy!
r.
I wrote about the meaning of Blue in my life...now it has a more blushing meaning!

Love the poems.
I only wear black but my photos have lots of blue.. Maybe I wear black so others will see the colour??:)
Greta photos..
HUGGGGGGG
Miguela - Ditto! Thank you for knowing blue.

M.C. - Love the catnip bits of blue! Good on you1

Trig - Thanks!

Jon - Thank you for the nod for blue.

Buffy - Oh, do share!

Linda - Blue is the new black! Thanks!
lovely blue period here.

blue for me? My husband's favorite color and he looks smashing wearing it.
Gorgeous. I especially like the last photo. And I love the lamp.
Blue is not my favorite color, yet I go to it again and again when I want to feel relaxed or approachable or comfortable. Maybe it *is* my favorite color... Your piece is lovely. ~r
This was an amazing post. The photos and the poetry, EP/Cover stuff.
I love a deep blue sky filling the space between green tree leaves.

Very nice photos and verse.
I love blue! Not the mood, the color. Loved the pictures Cathy and made me wish I was back in Larkspur with you where you helped me take my blues away. And your beautiful blue eyes of a soul sister...that's true beauty!
Very nice piece Cathy!
Great pictures and beautiful words.
Just beautiful, both the photos and the poem. The frozen sand and the one below it - where are those?

You and Lezlie (L in the Southeast) are sharing a similar thought this month.
Ooooooooooooooooooooo....!

.
And now blue is even more my favorite color.
Beautiful Cathy. How did you sneak St. Patricks in there? I can never get cough blue sky (you know where I live)
Mimetalker - Men do look so innocent while wearing blue!

divorcepauline - Thanks! Lamp from "Lamps Plus," a retail chain!

Joan H - "relaxed, approachable, comfortable..." Yes, I'd say the color blue is meant for you! Thank you.

Scanner - Ahh shucks! You always say the nicest things! Thanks!

bobbot - Should there be an #11? I may do a follow up to this blue post next week. You will have your #11!

Stim - Me too! It is stunning in its contrasting colors and textures. Nature is truly miraculous. Thank you.

Mary - Talk about blue eyes! I got to see yours for a week, but that's not enough time to drink in your beautiful blues! Wonderful sister time with you. xo

ladyfarmerjed - Thanks for such kind words.

keri h - Both taken at Camp Rich, SLT, outside the Beacon Bar and Grill - A fave place for food and drink. Yes, Leslie L and I are on the same wavelength. Could be some cosmic connection between us! Because of your question, I added all the photo locations to post at end. Thank you!

Sky - When me thinks of blue, me thinks of you, too! Cuz, blue is joyful, playful, mood deepening, rueful sometimes and greatly at peace with oneself.

Cranky Cuss - Don't be cranky, don't be blue, know that someone is thinking of you! Thanks!

Trilogy - Oh, my trip to New York last April! A "Sex in the City" chick trip, without the sex! Shopping and eating spree...with a little wine sprinkled in for good measure. Should'a seen the 4 of us with our maps in the subway! A real hoot!

And so true it is of blue...it keeps growing on you...
Blue is my favorite color. My favorite picture is that street lamp and the beach with the barely visible stormy wave in the background.

But then, Puerto Vallarta ain't chopped liver, either.
Zumalicious - Yes, I love the street lamp along the beach photo so much! They run along the entire deck along the beach. Very fun when the lights are on and reflecting off the large windows in the bar/restaurant. The Rum Runners "ain't chopped liver either!"
Thanks for stopping by!
Lovely poem and gorgeous photos, Cathy. And those views you have ... wow. Lucky girl!!!!
