Chinese New Year Photo Essay

Rate: 12 Flag

Gung Hey Fat Choy! Chinese New Year was technically February 14, but we celebrate all week long. My last new year's dinner will be Saturday in Chinatown. Here's some pictures of the festivities at Navy Pier. I should take some food pictures too. This holiday is all about the eating and my mother and father-in-law make some delicious food. Here are some rare non-food moments:

I love the Chinese New Year and arts! Beautiful essay. I miss Chinatown in Philadelphia so these photos are much appreciated now I want dim sum to celebrate. I'm a rooster! what are you?
Hey Leonde- hey Owl! Happy New Year- I am a rabbit and so's DH. My older daughter is a rooster and the younger one is a rat. Unlike Western connotations of rat- the Chinese rat is supposed to be very charming and she certainly is. I can see you as a rooster for sure, leonde. Determined and confident? For sure.
A rabbit! Perfect for the runner that you are!
