Three things are happening that do not portend well for a peaceful spring and summer. Bad things are likely to be happening that could change the face of the world for a long time. And surprise, surprise, they all have to do with Iran and its nuclear weapons program. Let me explain.

First, Iran has launched another set of military exercises in southern Iran opposite the Straits of Hormuz.. At the same time, off our own eastern shores, the U.S. and a number of its allies have begun its own exercise, called Bold Alligator 12, designed to simulate an invasion f a country like Saudi Arabia by a country like Iran. The fictitious Saudi Arabia asks for coalition help to repel the invaders. The fictitious Iran has mined the Straits of Hormuz and has moved anti-ship batteries into place along it’s southern coast. The members of this exercise are tasked with creating a plan that will halt the aggression and engage coalition forces in an invasion of the fictitious Iran. Over 20,000 military are participating in this simulation that stretches from Virginia to Florida.

At the same time, according to the website WND,  “The Iranian government, through a website proxy, has laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people.” The Ayatollah Khamenei has issued what is called a “defensive jihad,” which not only justifies killing Infidels but also makes it mandatory for al Muslims. Why are they doing this? Because Khamenei believes that either the U.S. and/or Israel are serious about attacking Iran, and that Iran may have to strike first in an effort to level the playing field. Presently, we have an astonishing amount and array of military hardware throughout the Middle East and the Persian Gulf. If you don’t believe it, check out my last post.

Next, the leaders of Iran deeply believe in the coming of the 12^th Imam who will usher a “great event” or Holocaust, from which Islam will rise victorious. And to do this, they may have to wipes out as many Israeli military assets as possible, and the destruction of Jews all over the world. To do this there will be asymmetrical attacks worldwide on Jews or any others felt to be helping Israel. Iran has stockpiled a hug amount of missiles to accomplish this. They have targeted most of Israel and all of our military bases throughout the Persian Gulf region.

So as Iran prepares for war, and the U.S., Israel, and other members of the coalition do the same, this is not just a case of dueling banjos. This is serious and it is for real. And the stakes could not be higher.

The Iranian war games also serve the purpose of getting many of their assets in place. But after we complete Operation Bold Alligator 1232, those participants will deploy to the Persian Gulf. That would mean that we would have three carrier battle groups in the area plus, Marines, and attack helicopters. And this does not include the military build-ups on the Yemeni island of Socotra and the Omani island of Masirsah. Both of these islands are well within reach of the Straits of Horuz and southern Iran.

Like I said, this is not a case of dueling banjos. This is serious stuff.
