Its all for her
Get on your soapboxes people....for one my daughter is one of those kids that would be able to go to preschool if not for that program and before you start bitching about them going to peewee baseball, softball, dance etc.. did you ever think that maybe just maybe the only reason that they get to do those activities is because they have scholarship programs? no you didn't you just spoke. I work damn hard everyday to help the preschool out because my daughter does go there for next to nothing. Everyone wonders why so many kids give up on school it's because their not getting the EARLY childhood educational help that they need that helps to make them want to learn. you can sit with your kids read to them and try to get them to understand but you have to think from their point of view you are their mom or dad, you are ment to love them and give them everything right? well you gave them the video games, access to the T.v. you start taking that away and you are going to have one hell of a fight on your hands for the rest of your life, and most of those games that these little ones have is to help them learn academic skills, contrary to popular belief a parent that works 40 to 60 hours a week does not have the energy to sit there with their child everyday and read to them or go over spelling etc, what people need to understand is that these programs that are being cut are the ones that our kids need the most, just because your child gets straight A's or B's does not mean that they do not struggle to live up to your high standards and have no choice but to get the special ed help at school. if we as a country want to stay a super power we need to start looking after our really future OUR CHILDREN. which in the current state cutting educational funding in any way is just hurting our kids. how about you cut your pay Mr. Governor. Just what Iowa needs the Governor of Ci-Bo's.
