The breaking news, confirmed by Apple, that Steve Jobs has lost his seven-plus year battle with cancer is indeed sad. He was a genius, a visionary, and changed the world.
May he rest in peace.

Apple leadership issued statements earlier today, followed by Steve's family, who released the following:
“Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family. In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family. We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve’s illness; a Web site will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories."

He will be missed.
There is someone who left his mark. The personal computer, I-Phone and I-Pad have changed the way billions go about their daily lives. Sad that cancer got him so soon.
Shouldn't have though, I live on my computer (except at work). I used to live in books and imaginary worlds - now I actually talk with others and see others lives. Steve Jobs did that. He gave wonder and a world of fascinated contact and fun games to ocd introverts all over this planet.
It sounds silly, but he gave me this life. Yes I would have had another without his influence, but it wouldn't have been this one and I'm thankful to him.
