I remember that night in February, 1997 when my son Caleb and I were watching the TV news.  That’s when they announced that CHILD RAPIST Mary Kay Letourneau, a 35 years-old school teacher, had raped little Vili Fualaau, who had just turned 13!!!  I’m a proud parent and if anyone touched a hair on my Caleb’s head I would burn them alive!

This TWISTED MONSTER Letourneau had met the victim when she was HIS SECOND GRADE TEACHER and obviously had groomed him for sex until SHE STARTED ABUSING HIM ... WHEN HE WAS ONLY 12 YEARS OLD!!!

When I went to work the next day I was OUTRAGED!  People were BLAMING THE VICTIM!!! Saying things like what a little stud he was at school, and how he was experienced beyond his years!  SEXUALIZING A 13 YEAR OLD CHILD!!!  I don’t care whether "he didn’t say no", or how much he was forced … THAT DOESN’T CHANGE THE FACT THAT A CRIME WAS COMMITTED and I told those ASSHATS what I thought.  PEOPLE, THERE’S NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT THIS!  When the supervisor came and told me to get back to work I told her dumbass that I WILL NEVER CONDONE THE RAPE OF A CHILD and I noted the incident in a log I’m keeping for my workplace harassment lawsuit.

That August, THE RAPIST pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 7-1/2 years in prison. Her poor husband was so mind-controlled by this MANIPULATIVE PREDATOR SPOUSE that his own brother had to be the one who reported her crime to the authorities when they found out that THE RAPIST WAS GOING TO HAVE THE VICTIM’s CHILD!!!

She was going to make her 13-year-old victim produce children FOR HER TO MOLEST!!!  I almost puked in my mouth.  She not only destroyed the life of THE CHILD VICTIM but also those of his parents, AND her husband Steve Letourneau AND their 4 children, AND her own family.  Having read that rape occurs frequently between female inmates, I thought just maybe this MONSTER will get  RAPED IN PRISON LIKE SHE DESERVES!!! She should have to pay Vili, Vili’s  family, her ex-husband and their children, and everyone else who have been irrepairably harmed by her SICK TWISTED CRIME!

So you can imagine my complete disgust when OUR CORRUPT JUDICIAL SYSTEM let the CONVICTED CHILD RAPIST out of prison just FIVE MONTHS LATER for good behavior!!  Good behavior People!!!!  And then, just TWO MONTHS AFTER THAT where do the police find her???   IN A CAR, MOLESTING HER CHILD VICTIM!!! With $6,200 and a passport to flee the country.  She hadn’t even gone to sex offender treatment, (which we all know is a waste of time because they can never be rehabilitated anyway)

I don’t care if she’s mentally ill, or that her Congressman father ran for president, or that she was once a cheerleader, that doesn’t change the fact the SHE DID THE CRIME!  SHE PLEADED GUILTY! SHE SHOULD FACE THE SAME PUNISHMENT AS OTHER PEOPLE!  They could’ve shot her right then and there as far as I’m concerned but they returned her to prison to complete her 7-1/2 year sentence.  (They should’ve locked up her unremorseful CHILD RAPIST MONSTER ASS for life!!!!)

But then in 2002 little Vili’s family sued the city and the school district for all their suffering and, People, let me tell you – I had an EPIPHANY!  By now Letourneau had 2 children from Vili and her lawyer argued that “nothing could keep them apart” and the good jury agreed and there were no damages awarded.  I had also seen the made for TV movie about them in 2000.  So I realized that it was TRUE LOVE for these two, and they both had become PARENTS after all and needed to be FORGIVEN.

They let poor Mary Kay out of prison after she served her time and imagine my JOY when, in 2005, they were MARRIED at Columbia Winery in Washington State.  All rights to this WONDERFUL WEDDING were exclusively controlled by the Entertainment Tonight TV show, and Caleb and I watched - me of course with tears in my eyes -  :-)  Mary Kay wants another child (HOW SWEET!) and would like to return to teaching. 

Mary Kay (47) and Vili (25) were happy to do Hot for Teacher night at a Seattle nightclub earlier this year.
$5 got people in the door, where Mary Kay was signing autographs, dancing and posing for photographs with her fans and Vili was DJ'ing. No press was allowed in, as the couple wanted full control over which pictures were sold to who and for how much. Also available for sale were 11X17 inch posters of the flyer for $7, and t-shirts that read “Hot for Teacher” with an iron-on picture of the happy couple for only $20.

Every item that Mary signed read “Oh Happy Day! Mary Fualaau”.

Vili was also DJing six nights a week at another club, Cloud 9, but Mary Kay had to drive him there because he recently got a DUI.

I JUST LOVE A HAPPY ENDING, DON’T YOU?????

Update: 8/16/2010  

Mary Kay and Vili were on "Aftermath" being interviewed by William Shatner.  Caleb and I were overjoyed to hear Mary Kay say that she thought the statutory sex limitations were "only for men."  It explains so much.  The commentators tried to say that the messages to Vili (smuggled out of prison with her breast milk which was delivered to their children) and some of her letters to him were "controlling" (like a man) but we know true love when we see it!  Those "no contact" orders weren't going to stop these lovebirds.  Maybe they'll get a guest spot on "Cougartown."  Vili wasn't any "victim" either.  Mary Kay told Shatner that Vili actually pursued her and wasn't sexually innocent anyhow and Vili himself said he made a $20 dollar bet with his friends that he could get her to have sex with him.  True love knows no price, that's for sure.
