Hi Natalie, it’s me Sheila.

Just thought I’d chat about all the goings on lately.  I’m sure you heard about the big murders here.  But what they haven’t told you is that there was actually an administrative response for economic anamolies at their ranch about a week before the crime!  Apparently they found property with disabled chips and when they sorted those peoples’ biomed feed the whole lot of them had substance readouts, but they didn’t do much timestamp analysis and completely failed to sort for hormonal response and  brainwave synchronicities – or those murders could’ve been avoided!  (I even heard that one of the administrators investigating the scene triggered his own biomed readout and had to be removed from the investigation.)

Anywho, as you know now, a week later those fiends snuck up on that house, disabled the biomed approach sensors, and murdered those good people.  Of course as soon as the deathalerts entered the feed the administrators were right there, but the killers had already left.  So they sorted the timestamp data, the GPS readout placed the killers, and everyone’s biomed readouts told the story.  So when the data was fed through the Judgement Analyzer it gave those horrible monsters all life without parole.  It’s such a shame.  Those bums’ familial economic readouts were all pretty marginal, so I don’t think the Civil Analyzer will compute much in the way of restitution for the surviving family members – they’ll just have to settle for the standard victim allotment.

Anywho, things here are pretty much OK.  We had a scare there with granddad a few weeks ago…  He has the Tier Two healthplan so his biomed readouts are logged every 5 minutes.  On a Tuesday morning his chip triggered an administrative response team for an impending heart attack.  Thank goodness they were there.  They stabilized him, analyzed the data, and now he has new monitoring levels.  Unfortunately it’s not all covered, but you know how it goes.

Britsey’s doing pretty well.  She’s always gotten good assimilation scores and up till now she’s hardly ever triggered any school administrative responses.  She’s on the soccer team this year.  But my goodness, she is entering those troublesome years… Last Thursday her chip triggered a DNA readout, so she’s had sex and the school’s administrative response plan should be ready on Monday.  I know she’ll do the right thing.

Fred’s doing OK – but you know my Fred…twice when he tried to access the vehicle this month his biomed readout triggered a substance error.  I told him, “Fred you know that one more time and there’ll be an administrative response and they’ll give you new monitoring levels at the very least.”  He started complaining again about how “two hundred years ago the chips were only supposed to be for pets and sex offenders.”  I gently reminded him of all the lives that have been saved and how there’s almost no economic anomalies anymore and anyway it’s impossible to remove the chips and he calmed down.  Fred’s a reasonable man.

Uh-oh, Natalie, my biomed readout says I have to eat lunch now so I’ll visit again later.  Other than what I’ve told you, things are pretty quiet around here – but you know me.  I haven’t had an administrative response since the summer of ’77.  I guess I’ve never been one for making dangerous choices. Love you, dear… bye bye now.  Take care.

Closer than you think, Noah.
My biomed chip is indicating cocktail hour. Care to join me, my good man? What's your poison?
Who needs implants? We have spyware, and annoying ads that follow you everywhere. Funny how sci-fi is always behind.

rated for funny.
Monsieur-
I am honored by your invite to dust off the Limoges - but I fear it would generate an administrative response.
