I was inspired to write this by a comment by-who else-Vzn. He asked about my...um...exercise routine.
There was a time when I was really skinny. This period came after I had chunked up, bulked up really, from playing tennis. Alarmed at the weight I had gained, I decided that, in addition to tennis, I would start running. Like everything else I do, I threw myself into it, running sometimes more than seven miles a day. Now I limit myself to five.
I had a funny habit, though. After I ran, I would strip off all my clothes before I took off my running shoes. My husband (not quite when this picture was taken) thought that was bizarre. I explained that I hated being in sweaty clothing so it made sense to me to take off my shoes last. He, of course, took my habit as an opportunity to take a picture of me. This is in Noosa, Australia, where we rented a lovely house.

After I got married, I slacked off and put weight back on (doesn’t everyone do that after getting married?). Compare the skinny me to the heavier me (this was taken in Hawaii just before I cut my hair off). I could barely fit into my bikini! I did, though, have slightly bigger boobs. I guess there’s an upside to everything.

Now I run and lift weights. I sometimes work out to a kick-boxing video. Of course, I still play tennis, but more for fun than for anything else. Strangely enough, despite being over 30, I'm in the best shape of my life, but it gets harder to stay in shape every day!

I'm still hiking and trying to eat healthy foods and trying my best to be patient cuz it's slow going. I'm also trying to change the way I view myself and accept myself just the way I am. Not easy!
r-- just for the photos!
Your hard work shows.
Rennis - sometimes your weight is more how you feel. When I couldn't fit in my bikini comfortably, I decided to go without as the lock of tan lines shows. Thank you for dropping by.
Everyone else - thanks!
You are absolutely right, it is all about how you feel inhabiting your body.
To observers, both photos are immensely pleasurable.
The increased thickness is , as they say, more to love. Voluptuosness never goes out of style, no matter what the magazines & media dictate.
Anyway, I hope I gave you some perspective regarding how you look (delicious always) vs. how you feel.
You are now self-admittedly “in the best shape of your life’….we may need to see a photographic proof of this…(ha)…
The best shape of your life, but hard to keep the shape. Yeah, I know, even as a guy.
I have finally trimmed down the thick middle and reached the gaunt (svelte) body image I believe represents the real me…my legs are strong. They hold me up, they feel light as air sometimes.
It is different for a gal, I know. Such a beautiful woman as you knows that men will always appreciate her, but the key is to make your own body image just right, to coincide with theirs’.
We struggle to be just right to our observers, whom we love to exhibit ourselves to, for that is what it is to be a sexual being, as we are…..and yet, we must get right with the mirror.
The mirror will tell the tale, subjectively.
As for the photos, they of course reveal a beautiful woman, no matter how much she thickens or shrinks.
But it is never enough to be told u are beautiful. You must feel it
