Cry Happy Tears: Say Ladeo, by Bobby McFerrin

Rate: 14 Flag

I don't have anything to say that can match what this song with few real words says all by itself.  Listen as "...a song becomes a thousand songs..."

If it makes you cry...that's a GOOD thing...

Some days...because of things like this, I know there's some kinda God somewhere.  And S/he loves us...

That is really nice, Glad you shared this song today with me. All the best...have a great summer!
Beautiful, melodious song...thanks for sharing this, Keka! :)
Keka, Bobby Mc Ferrin is a freaking GENIUS. I have his other albums "Bang Zoom" and "The Voice" on my iPod and listen to him a lot. I even wrote about him here when I wrote about meeting Heath Ledger. I didn't know this song and it's WOW soooo beautiful.

A teeny story that I find interesting:
Bobby is by far best known for "Don't Worry; Be Happy" by the general public. This little ditty he played with for ten minutes while waiting for the rest of the musicians to join him. So many do not know that that was no effort while he has played with so many greats: classical with Yo Yo Ma; jazz with many famed; he's just a gem. Same story with Randy Newman and "Short People."

Thank you for this. Thank you thank you. I didn't know he'd made a new album. Wendy
I'm still stunned by the beauty of this. The man is just out there in a world all his own, sending us little dispatches sometimes...and sometimes they're breathtaking...
I too love Bobbie McFerrin and had not heard this one yet. Different for him in a way and really beautiful, peaceful. I just love what he can do, thank you for sharing this I will be looking for it.
I just bought this on iTunes and it's been forever since I did that. I forget how to upload to my iPod so the other songs from "Vocabulary" are playing as I write this. How can he be so little known when he is soooo great? Thanks again Keka I'm writing to suggest that everyone get a copy of this album, howsoever you do so. WO
Bobby's cool. His voice is astounding.
Wendy I've been having an ongoing battle with ITunes' store of late that no one at Apple seems to be able to fix. So I'm going to have to go with Rhapsody. Which is really neat because they let you listen for free for as long as you want, too. But THIS...I have to buy. And I'm doing it NOW...

Cry Happy Tears is a perfect title for this. I love this man. He KNOWS stuff. But usually I go to him when I find myself down on my knees. How wonderful to be able to look up to the sky this time. Thanks Keka!!!
Happy tears indeed,
now the tune is

in my head

Bobby McFerrin means "Angelic" in musicese!

Nice to meet you on this post, Keka.
(My son used wrote for the AZ Daily Star when he was a student at the U. He had a wonderful experience at that newspaper.)
Love those happy tears and this artist is quite evocative. Thanks!
Such a beautiful melodic song and harmonies. Thank you for sharing!

Makes my hardened heart sing...yes it does. Simply beautiful.

Such joy--I got up this morning and played this, and that smile came back again. It was just like yesterday when I heard it on NPR, and my whole soul just lit up and glowed. What a remarkable talent he has for reaching right in there and making you feel great to be alive, period!
Oooh.. me happy you did this Keka, I was in the "Oh Gods, not don't worry be happy AGAIN?!" camp until this post..

Rated for the worthy heads up :).
