Just for a smile -
We've been watching these ducklings since they were itty bitty babies. There were 17 to start and 15 remain. Our driveway and front of the yard become a mini-lake during heavy rains (every day lately), and they play here frequently. They are at a gawky stage now. Yesterday when my Sweetheart came home, they all followed him into the garage! They have no fear of humans or cars (they are an unruly gaggle and dart into the road at will). They've brought me lots of laughs which I hope to pass on to ya'll.
(And thanks to my Sweetheart for the presence of mind to grab the camera.)

And I have already PMed you about Saturday. We need a quartet reunion.
I think I can come Saturday. I'll need to leave to catch my nephew pitching in a baseball game in Boca at 3, weather permitting, and I know dragging myself away from you gals will not be easy!
Thanks, sweetheart and sweetheart's sweetheart.
dea dog you're welcome :-)
kaysong, they were cuter when they were smaller, but I could never get a good snap of them, and never all together like this.
karen, I think that's Dad, and Mom is standing watch just outside the garage.
Thanks John!
Oh, and, uh, cute ducks BTW.
David- Ha! The garage is my Sweetheart's man-space and the cars are his hobby. The clean garage is one of the few conditions in our relationship! Plus, many moves (much deletion of stuff) and no children make it all possible.
Thanks Pilgrim, they are very sweet ducks.
Danya, I have an earlier post about some of the other birds I watch from my home office window. They are prolific and beautiful here for sure.
Buffy - an interactive blog about ducks? I'd like to see that, I'm glad you liked this one.
Thanks to all for stopping by.
Yay for cute animal pics! :)
The ducks (they come by once or twice a day) keep me smiling and laughing. They are very quiet though, I've never heard so much as a peep (or a quack) even from the adults.
These is a new brood of 9 itty bitty babies coming along next :-)
About 6 months ago I saw a baby duck runing across the street I was driving on. That in itself is not too strange, but I live in the friggin desert. Where in hell did a duck come from around here???
Talk about a foul ball. That little guy was way out of place.
So, when they get older will they be migrating? And returning every year to have more babies? You might need a bigger garage! Thanks for sharing this. Baby ducks are my all time fave cuteness. :)
