See Some Of Your OS Favorites This Week At Punchnel's

Rate: 5 Flag

Hi, everyone. I'm crossposting this as Punchnel's in OS. Please make Punchnel's a favorite if you want to get these updates.

One more note: we have a great photo essay by Barry Doyle you'll want to see if you're a fan of his work here. And you isn't?

Greetings, OSers. Hope you had a relaxing weekend and are ready to face the workweek. We did our share of eating, drinking, dancing, yardwork, reading, and some more eating.

And we prepared a bunch of great stuff for you in Punchnel’s this week. Here’s what’s happening:

Monday (8/29) we have another installment of Ashley Walker’s Gorked, titled “This Spaceship Thing We’re In.” You know her as Writer to the Stars—and we’re retelling her memoir-in-progress at Punchnel’s. You’ll also find another installment of our popular feature What I Should Have Said, art director Stephanie Bane’s Punchlist of cool stuff you need to know, and new flash fiction from Steven Woods.

Tuesday (8/30) is reviews day at Punchnel’s. Look for new book and movie reviews—along with a new Random Review from Jen Bingham. (Her first was Punchnel’s most popular post to date.)

Wednesday (8/31), we have Chapter 3 of Alex Mattingly’s engrossing serial novel Everything And More. We’ll also have a new poem we promise is worth the trip outside OS.

Speaking of OS, on Thursday (9/1), we’ll be reprinting of an OS classic: Sarah Spykman’s “Screeching Like A Red Glider.” And on Friday (9/2), we’ll have another installment of Traci Cumbay’s “This Week In Bullshit.” Last week’s featured a disgraced Indiana lawmaker, Jenny McCarthy, Pat Robertson, and lots more bullshit.

Plus more reviews and more features and more great stuff to read. We think you’ll like it.

Thanks for the resource. I just may submit something. R
nicely done. very cool. I just had a client reject a website I designed saying that it was too "old fashioned." I sent them a fuck you note asking what precisely old fashioned means in an industry where everything is in for around ten seconds. But it is a nice design. I remember you telling me that you were working on this. It seems like it was a long time ago.
Indeed, sage. Time speeds up in the Internets. But it was sort of a long time ago.
Your off and running and I expect you to do the greatest things...Will be dropping by to see Barry Doyles new work. Sunflowers for you too!
OK will be dropping by.
