My wife has a beautiful, female German Shepherd Dog. Not being a dog person, i'm assuming it's important to add that final noun--my wife always does.

So here's the thing, as Tia and I walk all over town, EVERYONE comments on what a beautiful dog "he" is. And here's the real thing: Ladies, why don't you give this a try: assume upon yourself the attributes you see in a beautiful GSD. Why surrender to masculine definition the attributes of this magnificent being? Yes, if you mess with me she might bite a large chunk out of you. So might my wife, if you mess with me. My mom? Maybe not. But mess with my children and their momma definitely will!

Ladies! You are fiercely loyal, intelligently alert, poised for action, ready to fight to protect what is yours to protect. Let's all give it a try. Next time we see a GSD, Doberman, Rottweiler--ok, maybe not a pit bull, but next time we see these fierce protectors, let's all comment on how beautiful "she" is and notice what rearrangement begin in our heads.
