We have a new Open Salon editor: Judy Berman, who is right over here. Judy's been a part of Salon's extended family for a while now -- we're thrilled to bring her into the fold.
We were inundated with tons of fantastic applications. But as we discussed the job more, we came to the conclusion we really needed someone in the Salon-New York office, not just keeping an eye on the great work on Open Salon, but helping us synch it better with Salon. With our redesign, we're trying to better display great, relevant Open Salon content throughout Salon more than ever. Most prominently, you can see relevant posts on nearly ever blog or story page, like this one:
We plan on doing incorporating Open Salon a lot more, through different initiatives, in 2010. But more of that to come in the weeks and months ahead...
For now, please join me in welcoming Judy!
