You weren't really a superhero or a biblical character. So now that your beloved firearm has been peeled from your cold, dead fingers I'd like to say that I want my time and money back that I spent toward your work. Your reaction after a young child was shot dead in Michigan was deplorable. You had the gall to go ahead with an NRA rally the same week in her hometown. At that moment, you were dead to me. Have an angel fly me the money for my time and box office spent on you over the years. We will call it even.
Let's remember Jon, you only played in "Runaway Train" and "Coming Home." You never fought in Vietnam and you were never in prison. You are not a bad ass, you're a very middle of the road actor and horrible parent. You now live miserably alone with your thoughts and memories. I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not. You suck and I can't stand you. I want all my money back spent on films you were in and I want compensation for time spent as well. If you can convince Angelina to give me two hours alone, we'll call it even.

You give tall men a bad name. You are not a good actor, in fact, you suck. You are Magnum in every role you play. Magnum was in reality a pussy. So are you Tom. How about you put down your guns and we go a few rounds mano a mano? I know I can take you down because I believe in fair fights, not a militia. You support gun owners but I bet you've never shot a live round in your life. You do know that those prop guns aren't real, right? Yeah, I know Jon Eric Hexum killed himself with a prop gun, but that was from the muzzle flash.
I want the hours I spent watching Magnum P.I. back. I only watched it for Higgins and the other cat. I always laughed at your big, goofy ass and your head sticking out of the top of the car. You were pretty young to have a mid-life crisis. Oh, and I'll take you one on one on the court any day of the week, and since your ass is so old now, I'll play left handed. I want my time back, the least you can do is let me nut punch you once. Now, shut the fuck up, you're irrelevant as I don't see C.B.S. asking you to reprise the Magnum role anytime soon. Not unless they call it "Magnum MRI".
You are not a bad ass and a lot of young guys that watched you can now kick your old ass. You are not an inspiration to me for being in good shape at your age. You're just another geriatric tough guy. Let me introduce you to my friend (ha) Gordon Osmond. He's like you, old, bitter, alone and a huge right winger. Maybe since you cheated on your wife all those times here in town while filming your movie, you can hook up with Gordon O and give the gay lifestyle a try. He live in Sao Paulo, what a better place for you to live out your lives...
I want my time and my money back. Make checks payable to Kind of Blue.

Thanks for the rant, Greg. You're always interesting.
As Walter Blevins says, you could probably add John Wayne to this list too, and yet I think "The Searchers" is a great film (love John Ford). In fact, I love many of John Wayne's movies (even "Rio Bravo" an anti communist film)--I just happen not to dig his politics. So what if these guys have different world views and politics? If they make a partisan movie, commercial, or shows up on FOX, I probably won't watch it--but if they're shootin' bad guys or parting the Red Sea, yeah, I might watch.
Sorry KOB, but this one of the reasons why the culture wars suck. You're entitled to your opinion and all, but I seem to remember folks from the other side having the same attitude some years ago when entertainers and artists didn't have the "right" politics.
Strongly disagree with the premise of this post.
John Wayne? Untouchable!
Without Walker the little dude from Sea Quest would have gotten his ass kicked in "Sidekicks." Just what kind of a monster are you? I'll be you're an Ape lover and for some reason think the Eyes of the Ranger aren't upon you! UGH! I'm going to go watch Moses in the space ship fight off the zombies while listening to the Walker theme song...they go together you know. You....you go suck an egg, whatever the hell that means.
From someone named perdidochas using the word juvenile, I'll take that as a compliment.
Blackphony, I bet you don't dislike anyone in the world do you hypocrite?
Stellaaa, sorry if I offended any of your heroes, but I think the only difference between Clint and these guys is that he knows he's acting and he's given his life to the arts, especially jazz. So for me, he is ok. He does wonderful, relevant work. Have you seen his films? Have you seen Million Dollar Baby? Mystic River? Unforgiven? More than just violence. A message. Same goes for Gran Torino. Sure, he used racial slurs in the film, he was exposing a character. Sheeeesh, the naysayers always answer a blog with one liners. Never anything positive to say to anyone. So tiring.
I would agree with John Wayne. He was just overrated.
I used to like Selleck until he was on Rosie O'Donnell and a couple other talk shows angrily supporting the NRA like Heston.
Bob, most right wingers have "been her" it seems. They just don't want people to know.
That's cool MJ, at any point did anyone see me write the words "so this MUST be your opinion!" :-D You might think so by some of the replies. This was mostly tongue-in-cheek until the haters showed up. I'm sorry, I just can't stand any of the guys. Heston was a hero when I was young and I ended up just depising him as a person, not as a Republican.
Sorry Andy, I wish Moses had dropped the stones on his foot. As for Walker, I never dared watch any show where Norris got to wear tight jeans, boots and a cowboy hat every week. I am after all a straight man. What other reason could their be to watch???
The acting?
Come back after you therapy sessions.
Too bad, too, cause I spent many a night drooling over Magnum PI. That's the risk celebrities take I reckon when they talk without a script -- some I respect more (Paul Newman for instance) and some just leave a bad taste in your mouth.
I can't say much bad about Selleck because I just don't know, so I'll have to give him a pass. The rest of them? Blech. Pointless waste of humanity, every one.
She invited him on her show, which was typically small talk and then ambushed him regarding his position on gun rights. Not only did he speak intelligently to the issue, but he pointed out her hypocrisy (which she apparently hadn't even noticed up until then) in that she begrudged others the right to carry a gun for self protection but employed bodyguards with guns for her own protection!
Chuck, you get what I'm saying but I don't expect everyone to agree. I don't like these four ass bags and you can all like them all you want. I think Jon Voight came the closest to playing himself in "Runaway Train" though. I met Chuck Norris, PERSONALLY and up close. We drank with him and some crew. He cheated on his wife every night in town with a different woman. Heston was a pimp. Selleck is a nobody who likes to go on women's talk shows and verbally attack them. Indisputable for me. The rest of you can think what you want. Happily. Just like I LIKE OBAMA.
K?
Where do they get the nerve to attack when they don't agree with a celebrity's politics, when so many right wing jerks have come out of Hollywood?
