Chuck Heston, Jon Voigt, T Selleck, Give My Time/Money Back

Chuck Heston, sorry you died last year but you lived a long and fruitful life for such a tough cowboy.  As a young kid I saw you in "Ben Hur" and for a long time, you were my hero.  "The Ten Commandments" was a decent flick in its day, but not nearly as good as "Ben Hur".  In your second half of your career, pretty much right after "Planet of the Apes", your acting soured and so did your personality.  Your dead, so I can't really say this to you man to man, but those were films, not reality and you were a real son of a bitch toward the end.

You weren't really a superhero or a biblical character.  So now that your beloved firearm has been peeled from your cold, dead fingers I'd like to say that I want my time and money back that I spent toward your work.  Your reaction after a young child was shot dead in Michigan was deplorable.  You had the gall to go ahead with an NRA rally the same week in her hometown.  At that moment, you were dead to me.  Have an angel fly me the money for my time and box office spent on you over the years.  We will call it even.

Jon Voight, what can I say about you?  You are one major league ass bag and I cannot put into words how much I despise you.  "Coming Home" was a good film.  You've had a couple of other good, borderline great films in your life.  But was it worth it considering how badly you fucked up your kids?  I mean, c'mon, they French kiss each other.  Angelina has become quite a great woman in spite of you.  I saw Bill Shatner dismantle you and humiliate you on "Raw Nerve" and I wanted to hug and kiss him for doing it.

Let's remember Jon, you only played in "Runaway Train" and "Coming Home."  You never fought in Vietnam and you were never in prison.  You are not a bad ass, you're a very middle of the road actor and horrible parent.  You now live miserably alone with your thoughts and memories.  I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not.  You suck and I can't stand you.  I want all my money back spent on films you were in and I want compensation for time spent as well.  If you can convince Angelina to give me two hours alone, we'll call it even.

a selleck

Tom Selleck.  Wow, what a douche bag you are indeed.  You had one hit show and  in retrospect, it was really stupid.  You give the Detroit Tigers a bad name and should never wear their hat again.  You're wearing a Vietnam Vet hat in this photo and you were never a veteran of Vietnam.  Maybe if you were shot at in a real war, or had to kill many men, women and children, you wouldn't go on talk shows and make an asshole out of yourself.

You give tall men a bad name.  You are not a good actor, in fact, you suck.  You are Magnum in every role you play.  Magnum was in reality a pussy.  So are you Tom.  How about you put down your guns and we go a few rounds mano a mano?  I know I can take you down because I believe in fair fights, not a militia.  You support gun owners but I bet you've never shot a live round in your life.  You do know that those prop guns aren't real, right?  Yeah, I know Jon Eric Hexum killed himself with a prop gun, but that was from the muzzle flash.

I want the hours I spent watching Magnum P.I. back.  I only watched it for Higgins and the other cat.  I always laughed at your big, goofy ass and your head sticking out of the top of the car.  You were pretty young to have a mid-life crisis.  Oh, and I'll take you one on one on the court any day of the week, and since your ass is so old now, I'll play left handed.  I want my time back, the least you can do is let me nut punch you once.  Now, shut the fuck up, you're irrelevant as I don't see C.B.S. asking you to reprise the Magnum role anytime soon.  Not unless they call it "Magnum MRI".
a norris

Chuck Norris, the first time I saw you on screen you were getting your ass handed to you by Bruce Lee.  You looked like a bad porn actor then and your acting skills only got worse.  I love your tough image and I don't know if you remember, but we met here while you were filming one of your infamously bad Vietnam war films.  They weren't real Chuck.  All those characters were still alive.  You don't owe me much money because I never watched your films.  I did want to include you though because you are a 68-year old bully tough guy and need to be hit with a shovel just hard enough to shut you up.

You are not a bad ass and a lot of young guys that watched you can now kick your old ass.  You are not an inspiration to me for being in good shape at your age.  You're just another geriatric tough guy.  Let me introduce you to my friend (ha) Gordon Osmond.  He's like you, old, bitter, alone and a huge right winger.  Maybe since you cheated on your wife all those times here in town while filming your movie, you can hook up with Gordon O and give the gay lifestyle a try.  He live in Sao Paulo, what a better place for you to live out your lives...

I want my time and my money back.  Make checks payable to Kind of Blue.

Fake guns don't kill actors, these cats with fake guns kill actors.
Charlton Heston disgusts me. Check out his answer to why Americans are more gun-violent... and he lets his guard down... about to blame it on non-whites and whatever else is on his sick bigoted mind..

And the hate lives on.
But, Clint, is he ok?
This list could go on and on. (I disagree a bit about Selleck though--although my wife agrees with you). You could have included John Wayne in this too--he only had one character he played. Or any number of other actors who ended up "wasting our time".
Thanks for the rant, Greg. You're always interesting.
Awwww, I still like Tom Selleck. Did you see Quigley Down Under? Charlton Heston was a horrible actor but I will never, ever forget The Ten Commandments or Ben Hur. I memorized them both as a child. Cause when I was growin up, letting kids watch violent movies was just fine as long as there was no sex or profanity. Chuck Norris just cracks me up. I had to buy the book created by the website that makes up random shit about Chuck Norris and his roundhouse kicks. It's so funny. Jon Voigt means nothing to me.
Heston was a boob. He never did anything but act, and not that well. Voight? Hell, I think he's just pissed because Angelina won't French him. Chuck Norris is the punch line to a million bad jokes and that is his good point, the other point is hidden by his hat. You know what? They can keep my money if they'll just shut the fuck up. I know, it's too late to shut up Chuck maybe the NRA can start putting up his picture at rallys in that nifty toga he wore in Ben Hur, wait a minute, Ben Hur/ been her, is someone trying to tell us something on the sly?
I dunno about this one KOB. Sure, I might disagree with their politics, but why does that have to have any bearing on some movie or TV show they did? I personally enjoy Magnum PI (I thought it was a fun take on the shamus/PI genre), and I think Charles Heston made some really good films. I still enjoy them. And I'm not sure what Chuck Norris' politics has to do with him kicking some bad guy's ass on screen ( and yes, Walker was preachy, but it was cartoon man, c'mon Walker is hilarious).

As Walter Blevins says, you could probably add John Wayne to this list too, and yet I think "The Searchers" is a great film (love John Ford). In fact, I love many of John Wayne's movies (even "Rio Bravo" an anti communist film)--I just happen not to dig his politics. So what if these guys have different world views and politics? If they make a partisan movie, commercial, or shows up on FOX, I probably won't watch it--but if they're shootin' bad guys or parting the Red Sea, yeah, I might watch.

Sorry KOB, but this one of the reasons why the culture wars suck. You're entitled to your opinion and all, but I seem to remember folks from the other side having the same attitude some years ago when entertainers and artists didn't have the "right" politics.

Strongly disagree with the premise of this post.
Oh dear, I don' know...in the world of fantacy, that is. They all had their good moments, on screen. Cannot tolerate actors who use their celebrity to spread their idiologies, but that's the way they roll.
John Wayne? Untouchable!
I totally disagree with the politics of, say, Barbra, but that doesn't mean she can't sing. Even Rosie and Garafalo, no, nevermind of those two. Anyway, lots of lefties whose politics I disagree with, but don't feel I should get anything back from them. Just reinforces my opinion that, no matter what side they are on, they should just shut up and sing, act, dance, whatever.
I've met and had lunch with Chuck Norris back in the early 90's. I wasn't impressed. Heston was a Reagan Glory Hound; Sellick a recycled model who thought he could act. Politics, regardless which side you are on, is intermixed in film / TV culture. That's just a fact. We watch what we watch, we opine on what we want. Jon Voigt just gives me the creeps. Good for Shatner! ~R~
For the love of all that is holy, Blue, why did you have to go and attack Moses and Walker? Tom and Voight, who gives a crap but how DARE you attack Moses and Walker! Grrrrrrr. Without Moses, you wouldn't have any commandments on Easter, apes would take over the planet and we'd all be eating PEOPLE!
Without Walker the little dude from Sea Quest would have gotten his ass kicked in "Sidekicks." Just what kind of a monster are you? I'll be you're an Ape lover and for some reason think the Eyes of the Ranger aren't upon you! UGH! I'm going to go watch Moses in the space ship fight off the zombies while listening to the Walker theme song...they go together you know. You....you go suck an egg, whatever the hell that means.
I am curious if you would hate these people if they believed the same way you do politically?
Well, he's dead Photoguy, so it "was" on his mind. But I agree with you.

From someone named perdidochas using the word juvenile, I'll take that as a compliment.

Blackphony, I bet you don't dislike anyone in the world do you hypocrite?

Stellaaa, sorry if I offended any of your heroes, but I think the only difference between Clint and these guys is that he knows he's acting and he's given his life to the arts, especially jazz. So for me, he is ok. He does wonderful, relevant work. Have you seen his films? Have you seen Million Dollar Baby? Mystic River? Unforgiven? More than just violence. A message. Same goes for Gran Torino. Sure, he used racial slurs in the film, he was exposing a character. Sheeeesh, the naysayers always answer a blog with one liners. Never anything positive to say to anyone. So tiring.

I would agree with John Wayne. He was just overrated.

I used to like Selleck until he was on Rosie O'Donnell and a couple other talk shows angrily supporting the NRA like Heston.

Bob, most right wingers have "been her" it seems. They just don't want people to know.

That's cool MJ, at any point did anyone see me write the words "so this MUST be your opinion!" :-D You might think so by some of the replies. This was mostly tongue-in-cheek until the haters showed up. I'm sorry, I just can't stand any of the guys. Heston was a hero when I was young and I ended up just depising him as a person, not as a Republican.

Sorry Andy, I wish Moses had dropped the stones on his foot. As for Walker, I never dared watch any show where Norris got to wear tight jeans, boots and a cowboy hat every week. I am after all a straight man. What other reason could their be to watch???
The acting?
It's almost impossible to have fun or be funny on here anymore. You can't even be satirically funny about these four guys on a supposedly liberal blog site? Back to Facebook with all the not so serious people.
Adios.
Come back after you therapy sessions.
KOB, no one loves humor more than I. It just seemed your post was more hate against a belief different than yours. If not, I apologize.
How dare you accuse me of being serious! Why I....oh wait, you didn't refer to me by name. Um....(Shuffles feet) Hugs?
I didn't realize Selleck & Voight were taking up the battle hymn of the NRA, but Norris doesn't surprise me at all. All these actors do have something in common though -- they seem to believe their own presskits.

Too bad, too, cause I spent many a night drooling over Magnum PI. That's the risk celebrities take I reckon when they talk without a script -- some I respect more (Paul Newman for instance) and some just leave a bad taste in your mouth.
Awesome! Dude, I'm still laughing! I never knew Selleck was a righty, but I'm well aware of the other three and their shenanigans. They are all huge disappointments in my book. Bitter old fools that hate for the sake of hating. Take it to the grave, fellas.
I can't say much bad about Selleck because I just don't know, so I'll have to give him a pass. The rest of them? Blech. Pointless waste of humanity, every one.
I'm on your side, but Tom Selleck totally owned Rosie O'Donnell when she tried to ambush him on her show regarding the gun issue.

She invited him on her show, which was typically small talk and then ambushed him regarding his position on gun rights. Not only did he speak intelligently to the issue, but he pointed out her hypocrisy (which she apparently hadn't even noticed up until then) in that she begrudged others the right to carry a gun for self protection but employed bodyguards with guns for her own protection!
Kyle, I don't "hate" people. I dislike them and it's not just their "beliefs" or my "beliefs" it's their ACTIONS! And the answer is NO, I would not. Sean Penn has similar beliefs to me and I can't stand him. Good enough???????????????????????????????????????
Chuck, you get what I'm saying but I don't expect everyone to agree. I don't like these four ass bags and you can all like them all you want. I think Jon Voight came the closest to playing himself in "Runaway Train" though. I met Chuck Norris, PERSONALLY and up close. We drank with him and some crew. He cheated on his wife every night in town with a different woman. Heston was a pimp. Selleck is a nobody who likes to go on women's talk shows and verbally attack them. Indisputable for me. The rest of you can think what you want. Happily. Just like I LIKE OBAMA.
K?
It is just sick when the right wring bitches and whines endlessly about "Hollywood celebrities", when the worst, most fascist has-been jackasses have been their own heroes.

Where do they get the nerve to attack when they don't agree with a celebrity's politics, when so many right wing jerks have come out of Hollywood?
