my friend Sam has a great site called Scholars & Rogues, and this week they are featuring posts about Art (with a capital A).  Sam asked if he could post some of my photos from Eastern State Penitentiary, and i said of course.  i even had to write something up about them (and i am not terribly good at that...)

I thought your writing was quite good actually. You already know how I feel about these photos in particular and your work in general. Nice that they linked back here and that visitors to that site from Denver and beyond might be curious to explore further. Kudos for the very nature of this post.

Congratulations on getting a broader audience for this series, which you so richly deserve. I'll say it again, kmb, it's time to take the word "hobbyist" out of your bio. You are a photographer in the first rank, due to your intuitive artistry to be able to conceive, compose, translate and present. You are indeed an inspiration to the rest of us who would like to claim -photographer- as part of our names.
