Thank you for the beautiful photo essay of my hometown. R
You do justice to the city.
i am so glad y'all like this - my cartoonist (born and raised philadelphia) thinks i have an unhealthy affection for the city itself - i prefer to think of it as a pasionate and torrid affair with someone who may not have my best interests at heart, but who always shows me a good time. i love this city.
Great photos!
I'd rate this a thousand times if I could.
I miss Philly and South Street was always my favorite hang-out.
Thanks! :-)
Nice. I live up river from Philly. Gotta pull out the old 35mm take some flicks there myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
Wistful for me...no matter where I am I'll always be a born Philadelphian...just visited recently with my daughter who loves Philly like I do and was born there too. I'll post pics sometime...your photos are gorgeous and some of my favorite places to go - like Chinatown and dim sum at the Imperial Inn...
Great pics as always. Really liked the McGillins.
Ooooh, you were so close. Do you ever come to NYC? I'd love to see you cast an eye on THAT city!

Great as always. LOVE your work!
Your love for the city shows in your photography . . .
This Texas girl was in exile in Philadelphia for 20 years. Great photos. At one time I worked across the street from McGillin's.
These were great. Never been to Philly, but you make it look scrumptious!
As if I wasn't already aching to go back...
:-(
That bridge was right outside my hotel window the first couple of nights...and the backdrop to a lovely kiss...
Thanks for this.
thanks!

@Duane: haven't made it to NYC yet, but working my way up to it. my cartoonist will tell of the first time driving down to Phila from Boston with him, and on the TappenZee (?) Bridge, i looked down the river and saw the city off in the distance and my first response was that its size made my stomach hurt. :)
thanks to everyone else for coming to see the pictures. i really do love that city.

and @Outside Myself: you got me missing the pace. glad you enjoyed the pics. :)
Terrific photos! What OM said about the bridge; can't say it any better.

Philly's a great town.
Fine work and grand post.
Rated.
Those South Street rooftops set against the downtown skyline tell a story about Philly which those who have stayed there or lived there know well.

Beautiful photos.
Rated and appreciated.
