I'm a marketer, a person who works in the field that is one step above the people who read entrails. Marketers slice and dice personality traits and interests so we can better understand the audience. We work on teams. When a group of us get together we slice and dice each other's traits. This is my chance to share with you the cast of characters that I have come to know as Those FN People at Work. I'm working on a book of the same title. Nag me to finish. I need the encouragement. Enjoy.

Two weekends spent in cemeteries. I even found where the grave workers stash the discarded flowers and trinkets. NoisyNora came with me to Graceland Cemetery last week. Today I found the flowers and such at Elmwood Park Cemetery. Still haven't found many red trees. Guess I'll have to get back out there with my camera.
Kathy, thank you! You showed up while I was still arranging the pictures.
Lovely photos. Cemeteries are great places for seasonal shots.
it would seem drear with everything dying, but fall is so stimulating--it must be the cold air
No place on earth is like Chicago, in more ways than one. Great city with a fabulous skyline! Fantastic photos with such beautiful colors. Very nice!
Nanatehay: Thank you so much.
Stim: Chicago has such huge swatches of land dedicated to these beautiful cemeteries and they're so picturesque in autumn.
Kathy: Thank you so much for coming to my little corner of the world. Yes, it is strange that death should be so beautiful.
Pamela: You've given me a wonderful idea. I should get some skyline pix! Hmmmm, if I go back to my old neighborhoood where the expressway cut through like a river, the view to downtown should be wonderful, especially if I can find a tree with the right color...
Gwendolyn: Thanks. It made for a couple of interesting and fun weekend adventures too.
You got such great shots! I was hesitant about the cemetery, but our adventure proves that we can have a great time together anywhere. Where's the spooky guy?
NoisyNora: Yes, even a cemetery can be fun! The shot of the spooky guy didn't come out very well. I didn't get his whole body in the shot. Oh well.
Love these images, well done!
Thanks for this virtual peek of Chicago!
bbd: Thanks for coming. I've checked out your place and will definitely return. Congratulations, I love the pix of your book signing and the gallery shots.
kmbearden: Thanks so much.
Deborah: Ah, I'll have to get back out there for some shots of the skyline. I missed the opportunity running to the open house event of another OSer, Aaron Warren. I'll have to remind him to post a review.

NoisyNora: Thanks for telling me that I got an EP for these pix. Woo Hoo, another excuse for us to get together trying to find Coke with Lime to mix with rum, or at least make the bartenders crazy trying to find that concoction.
Kris, check out kmbearden's blog and her photos. I just love her stuff. She's such an intuitive artist, I know you'll be delighted. Thanks for your kind words.
Had to stop by and comment on the great photos - particularly the guitar ones in their "autumnal finery". Really cool and clever.
these pictures are simply breathtaking!

I love taking pictures in cemeteries. some of my favorite shots are from the 2 days my son and I spent roaming Bonaventure Cem in Savannah a few years ago.
bbd: Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have to check out kmbearden's pix.
dcvdickens: Thanks for stopping in for a visit. Please come by more often. Yes, the colorful guitars looked very playful hanging there.
Indie Girl: Cemeteries are so cool, especially old ones. Savannah's must have told a million stories.
Mmmm, thanks! You captured one of our sunny days. I'll have to come back here to remember what it can be like in Chicago. One red tree down my street has been stunning this year, but of course it glows best when the sun is shining.
Wow Kris, these are amazing. I hope you will post a few more photo-essays whenever you can.
The pics are great but GOD is that place ugly! I swear, how do you live there? All that 'nature crap.' I can't wait until they open up the new caves at Olympus Mons.

Rated anyway, you seem happy there.
