Bio
I'm an unemployed marketer, finding more laughs than job opportunities. I bundled up those laughs and observations into a book and titled it "My Humor's Working (Even if I'm Not)." The book is now available. Please share both the link and the humor: https://www.createspace.com/3464979

Invitation to my reading on 1/22

Rate: 11 Flag

If you're on the northwest side of Chicago this Saturday at Noon you're  welcome to hear me reading some funny stories about working, not working, dogs and my urban childhood.

You've had a taste of my stories about work since that's how this blog got started.  I've experimented here with some of the urban childhood stories, including the story of when the astronauts came to town when I was in grammar school.  That story made it into the book.

The book is "My Humor's Working (Even if I'm Not)  (follow the link to Amazon)." The reading will take place at noon on January 22, 2011 at:

 Mather's more than a cafe

7134 West Higgins

Chicago, IL 60656

773.774.4804

Let me know if you can make it.  It would be wonderful to get an OS group together.

Congratulations, Noreen! I won't be in Chicago, but I know you'll be amazing! xox
Sorry I'm not in Chicago either...sounds like a good reading! Congratulations.
Robin and C Berg: Thank you so much. I'm so excited to see this happen.
This is so wonderful, Noreen. I know the book will be a huge success - congratulations! What an accomplishment. Now, if only Houston weren't so darn far from Chicago...

This is just the greatest! I wish I was going to be there to hear you read! How fun and exciting for all your work and experiences to be written and published! Yipeee! Have a great day and hope to hear how it all goes and who from OS makes it. Break a leg!
Unbreakable and Just Cathy: Thank you for your excitement! Maybe I'll see if Noisy Nora will take some pictures!
Congratulations! Wish I could attend your reading, but I see the book is available on line.
Thanks Bonnie, but it would be a strange movie with all those topics to cover. Hmmm, which actress would be up for it?
FusunA: You snuck in as I typed the prior response. I'm so glad you stopped in for a visit. Thanks for checking out the Amazon page. They'll give you a sneak preview.
good on ya, noreen! so glad to be in on the great news and among the first to wish you huge good luck with the new book. i was in chicago almost exactly a year ago, trudging through the snow and loving the cold and eating great great food. wish i were there next week for more of the same *plus* being able to meet up at the reading. alas ... but there's always the next one!

Beyond cool!!

Congrats!!!
Femme Forte: We're having the same frozen weather today, a year later so you haven't missed anything in that regard. However, it would have been wonderful to have met you. We'll have to make that happen! Thanks for the kind words. I hope I live up to them.
Steve Katz: You make me laugh, so I really appreciate your encouragement.
Tink: I'm blushing already.
I AM SO THRILLED FOR YOU NOREEN. I ADMIRE YOU TO THE MOON!
Kathy, thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind enthusiasm.
Congratulations again. I wish that I could have been there. I took a bad fall on ice a few days before, and I wasn't up to going anywhere on Saturday.

I hope that it was a great day for you. I'm sure everyone is curious to hear how it went.
