Lately I have been thinking about my own rhythm and the fact that we all have our individual rhythms as we move about this life. The rhythm changes with circumstances and age. It gets worn in spots, thinned out in areas and thickened in other places. It breaks off at times, it skips beats, adds beats and changes all the time. It is a constant through out our life and one I believe we are born with.

"He/She goes to their own beat" we've heard people say. 

All of us are different and I don't think you ever find anyone with the same rhythm as yourself. You find a person that compliments your own in some way or another. Maybe the person finds you and likes your beat.

In a family you have to deal with individual's rhythms. You are stuck with each other in a sense. Sometimes it all goes smoothly and other times you want to scream and put your hands over your ears and yell, "Stop, stop! This is awful!"

When it's off key life feels out of balance for me. My internal conductor seeks to help balance the rhythms of the important people in my life. 

The key is finding the harmony, the rhythms that go together and make the beautiful music of life. Harmony creates beauty, tranquility and feels much better than its opposite. 

I strive to create more harmony than not in my life. As I speed toward the Big 50 this summer I don't have as much time for drama. I've never liked the feeling it creates. The unpredictabilty of drama is too chaotic for me.

As I approach this new decade I seek to include like minded individuals. I want to look deeper into how my Spirit feels-what moves me emotionally, what has true meaning in this Life we live?

I am a seeker and I know that the journey is the destination, there is no real "there". Most of us are trying hard to do the best we can with what we have. Along the way we can only hope to find our rhythm and learn to change the tempo as needed.
