For Mishima: A True Artist (Update 2)

Rate: 4 Flag

Some of the Open Salon regulars are too modest for their own good. Take Mishima's post about his cell phone art, Confessions of a Hack Photographer.  What he does is not easy, takes a photographer's eye, and a painterly touch. In the hands of the less talented, other things can happen such as the following:

Freaky Photo BW

Whoo -- spooky -- is this in Germany or Transylvania?

Where is Julie Delio when you need her == Julie?

Freaky Photo 2

OK, the hint is that this is somewhere in Italy, closer to Hades than most .

Italy -- such a beautiful place?

Jim, something is going wrong here?!

IMG_0060

From a walk bridge in Sorrento, Italy!

OK, Mishima, I give it back to you! ;)

Update -- OK, here is the talent of the artist:

 Jims version BW

In color -=- I like both of these better than mine!

Jims color version

See -- Much Better!

If anyone else wants to play, have at it -- send any submissions to:

lisalucas@remax.net

I will post all submissions as updates!

BUMP -- for updates from the artist himself! Thanks, Mishima!
But with a little practice you would be amazed at how quickly you can pick up some photo editing skills. It's not that hard.

It is true that one can spend a long time editing a photo with very sophisticated software. Most of us have neither the time nor inclination for that. But we can end up with perfectly good amateur results in a few minutes using simple software.

Anyway, thanks for inviting me to participate in your "experiment."
My pleasure -- I love you art, so will keep in mind your techniques -- you never know when they will come in handy!
Thanks, Susan! Does anyone else want to play?
I want to play, but need a little more time to get into it. This PC here @ work is the wurst, but at least it used to let me post pics. Now it does not. I'll be back.

I love what we can do with photos/vids now. Mishima's right, the software's become so accesible to "average" people. Like me. Thanks for the fun!
Hey Connie Mack -- please do submit! I would like to see some more possibilities -- I don't have the creative gene for this, but I really enjoy others' efforts!
Lisa! this is wonderful. And Susan's little gift is beautiful. She saturates me with affection.

I really love that image looking down on the ruined villa...wish I had been there and taken it. Just gorgeous.
Well, if you had taken it Barry, it would look a LOT better. It was not even taken with my best camera, but a compact SONY with zoom. Have you been to Sorrento? I have a lot of wonderful photos from that trip -- I have taken thousands more photographs as a realtor than I did when in AU. Actually, all the AU photos are my husband's work...;)
Ooooo, I'm so glad you got it Barry! Saturation, indeed! The first one is definitely the most compelling, though. It looks like ice or rushing water on top. Thanks for the fun, Lisa!
Lisa--I'm so glad you wrote on my post...I hadn't seen this...I've had a lot of problems on OS today...getting in, making comments, seeing comments. I don't see any of your pictures except the first one which is reason enough to rate your post. I love that picture--it's compelling. Hoping I can see all of them later and whatever is going on will be fixed.
