Thank You, Pittock Mansion

Rate: 4 Flag

In followup to my description of Fayard's and my ill-fated attempt to see the Pittock Mansion all decked out for Christmas, I must add some good news.  After my awful day I had left a phone message in the office of PM, and the lady who received the message called me to tell me she would be mailing me free passes to Pittock Mansion.  She could not do anything about the shuttle service though, so we have to find our own transportation, which is really not her fault.  She told me the shuttle service is free and they are just doing Pittock Mansion a favor, so that's beyond her control, but I thought it was very nice.  So that's what is happening with ME!  I'm going to Goodwill today, tell you all about it later.  Bye.

I'm glad this worked out. Have fun at Goodwill - sometimes you can find some really great stuff there!
What a haunting photograph - I just love it!

Congrats on your travel plans! It looks like a cool place to be.
Linda, Don't get too excited! Whoohoo is right. Thanks.

Alysa, a bright spot in a gloomy day. I think I'll ask my ex and his girlfriend to drive us up there or my friend, Dory.

Kate, I know I chose this from Flickr, which works well for me, because it does look like an old photo, and another OS poster wrote to me that she read somewhere that Pittock IS haunted. Can't wait.

Delia, yes, here's hoping our travel plans work out better this time. Thank you.
I have a bunch of photos of myself and a friend outside of Pittock Mansion when I was there 2 years ago. We didn't go in, but enjoyed the vista views from there. I loved Portland and would like to return.
