Financial Terrorism

Rate: 4 Flag

Let's see:

We have shadowy figures making illegal/unethical/immoral money deals for no good reason other than to enrich themselves and gain even more power, who see themselves both above and beyond the law and outside the control of any government, and who worship at the altar of a fanatical belief system that most people don't subscribe to.

These people hijacked our money, our laws, our ethics and our markets and aimed their gunsights on Main Street, nearly imploding financial systems around the globe.

Because corporations own the government.
Then it's probably pretty easy for them to perpetrate financial terrorism on anybody or any government.
But they won't after we elect Obama because he is going to clean house. McCain is one of them which is why his poll numbers are plummeting. Regular Americans are finally seeing clearly.
Either way, it seems to me that they're still terrorists - the difference being that they wear suits and ties...
Oh, o'stephanie. I hope so. But I'm not optimistic, especially when I look at figures from Open Government and Sunlight Foundation showing how indebted our political leaders (including Barack Obama) are to financial institutions and banks for campaign donations - an amount that has mushroomed since 1990.
Again, Stellaa is tellin' it like it is. The two parties are both in bed with the corpoations and money lenders, and the best we can hope for from either of them is to swallow a marginally less bitter pill if the Dems win.

After the election, I will be blogging on how and why YOU should switch your registration to Independent, Green, Libertarian, or ANYTHING other than Dem/Rep.

Back in the day, a decent education in much of the western world included a study of ancient Roman history. There was much to be learned therein, not the least of which is what I call The Lesson of the Gracci, which includes the last years of Rome as a Republic, before it slipped into the Imperial years. If you study it for yourself, I cannot imagine that you will fail to see some significant similarity to events of our time. Perhaps the most important thing I have taken away from this study is the inevitability of a two party system devolving into a "swinging-door" system, with each party vying for power, only to sell out to a hegenomy, an oligarchy which actually runs the government.

More on this later.
