Absinthe captured the imaginations of some of the world’s most famous (and infamous) artists and writers, from van Gogh to Hemingway. They were inspired by both its color and charisma and many celebrated it in their work.
Oscar Wilde once said, "What difference is there between a glass of absinthe and a sunset?"
It served as a muse for Degas’ “L’Absinthe” and Picasso’s “Glass of Absinthe.”
That was then…
Absinthe is making its revival among the creative class.
Le Tourment Vert Absinthe served as inspiration for artist Vanessa Michel, who showed us what she could do with a cocktail napkin, magazines, an airsick bag and an airline safety card - in only five hours on a cross-country Virgin America flight.

Absinthe
an alcoholic distillation of wormwood (herb)
poured over sugar to limit stereo-isomers form making you ill
i hope your concoction still retains the taste of licorice.
I am looking forward to trying it.
I wrote about it. If you want to read it, just cut and past this URL:

I am hardly a prohibitionist for others, as my blog proves. But if you are as seriously alcoholic as I was, then I can tell you, sobriety will give you a life beyond the wildest 'inspiration' of absinthe.
