Title
Assistant Guru (not to be confused with Assistant to the Guru)
Bio
Proud native Hoosier who’s settled permanently in New Orleans. Teach English. Live in an old whorehouse with three very talkative and sexually-confused birds and one very talkative bird that isn’t sexually confused at all but just wants what s/he wants, which is pretty much everything and everybody. They appear quite frequently in my writing. Former bedpan wrangler, radio announcer, preschool teacher, and freshman comp. instructor. Once accidentally picked out A Clockwork Orange for a make-out movie. Have a very rational appreciation for the works of Flannery O’Connor and the television show The X-Files and an irrational fear of Meg Ryan. All my friends are drunks.

Sex Education, Bollywood Style

Rate: 5 Flag

I must say, I don't speak Hindi (or whatever language this is in, I'm aware India has 22 officially recognized languages and several hundred more that are spoken throughout the country), but the chorus of this will follow me to the grave.

I am a Bollywood fan, and absolutely love this, even though it's production standards are a little cheezy when compared to modern Indian music videos. I am blown away that the it acknowledges gay men. Hope, hope, hope it has an impact on India's AIDS epidemic.
We need stuff like this on American TV. We need to develop competing American musical numbers promoting condom use. Bollywood should not be allowed to get ahead of us!
I've just been informed that this song is not in Hindi but in Telugu. Whatever...this is still one awesome PSA.
There are some things that Bollywood definitely does better than Hollywood. I just never expected that would include making sex-ed films.
