Spock

Today is Leonard Nimmoys 81st birthday.
Leonard is best known for his space travel and logic. He was born in 1931 from an American mother and space alien father. In the 1960s he grew his ears long and had a hit with the song "Live Long and Prosper" with the group Mr Spock and the Vulcans.
In 1965 he joined the crew of the starship "Enterprise", where he quickly became Chief Science Officer, thanks to his immense logical abilities. He left the Enterprise in the early 90s after being unable to answer the question "Where are the toilets on the Enterprise". This question was answered years later by Yarnek of the planet Excalbia.

May LN live long and prosper. Personally I was always torn between the Captain and Spock when out playing Star Trek as a young man. I liked the dynamic nature of Kirk plus On my Scottish side I am a Kirk as well , so playing the captain was indeed glamorous and cool. Then there was Spock who seemed to capture my imagination so much better and in a truer was as well. I think personally i felt more like Spock and enjoyed his mystical abilities and thought these were the things that really made the show great. Od coarse I have always admired things mystical and esp ancient philosphy. When I was about twelve my cousins were visiting and my step uncle was going to take an official photograph of us all. It was right then I was so inspired by the power of the camera, and my personal dilemma of which character to pose as from Star Trek in this Photograph. In the end I decided I was to pose as Spock and put my arms behind my back thinking a wise alien was far better than a fistycuffs Captain.
Star Trek has been a huge part of my life...and by extension...my families.
Mr Spock played uch the sames type of character as Data or Odo played in future versions of the show, but he was the original, and to my way of thinking....the best.
Live long and prosper, Spock, son of Sarak!
The original Star Trek was the best and kicked Star Wars butt in my opinion. I had the hots for Spock. Still do. Happy birthday, Mr. Nemoy.
