BEARING THE LIGHT OF BEING, LIGHT ENTERS...FILLING EMPTY SPACES, OPENING HEARTS WITH UNTOLD GRACES, THE SHADOWED PATH IS ILLUMINED NOW, FOR IN LIGHT...WE SEE LIGHT!!! I try to keep my heart & mind free from all harmful & divisive elements like negativity, hatred, bigotry, bitterness, prejudice, etc. I celebrate the joy of living, loving, learning, shining light & knowing other light bearers. My soul smiles at those who are unique, free, open, fun, diverse, lovely, humorous, gentle, sensual: in Mind, Body, Spirit & Soul. My heart extends an invitation to those who value love, peace, warmth, hugs, laughter, touch, a helping hand, sincerity, wisdom, compassion, creative expression, gifted beings, and all life forms. I applaud all of you who are doing the work in self that results in being forgiving, truth filled (in the walk & talk), can admit error & wrongdoing, are candid, forthcoming, and forward moving. I avoid all that is hostile, petty, pretentious, superficial, shallow, ignorant, indifferent, or maintains intolerance. I wear no masks & don't hide in closets, and still haven't found that "bush" that I was supposed to beat around. I am simply being me & invite others to do the same. Maturity makes it easy, being able to laugh at myself allows it & respect for myself & others requires it. I am sometimes very silly, clumsy, and with all of my intelligence... I can sometimes miss the obvious & be quite dense. I am a seeker & facilitator of that which "elevates and affirms" & does not tear down, reduce, lower, impede, diminish, deter, discourage, or bring indignity to. I prefer to surround myself with those that are "on board" to enhance what God has already started through; Godly love (see ICor 13:4-13), Fruit of the Spirit (see Gal 5:22), fostering unity & union (not conflict), reconciliation (not division), restoration & healing, renewal, speaking words of life (and not destructive words); and extending emotional support to loved ones that is "real" and not merely telling someone what they want to hear (which is pretentious illusion); and those free of judgment (judge not least ye be judged); and capable of forgiveness (forgive us our trespasses Lord - as we forgive those who trespass against us). This mandate applies to family, friends, etc. Am I special? It takes one to know on! I am not special...just me. I would like to think of myself as more of a blessing to others, than a burden (had to revisit that one lately!). I would like others to want to be around me...out of desire & not out of obligation (had to question that one lately!). I am passionate about God, Real Love, Global Reconciliation, World Health & Hunger, Ending Gender Bias & Persecution and all Hate Crimes, Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Protecting Children & Seniors, Environmental Health, Mental Health, Family Harmony, The Spoken Word, World Hunger & Suffering, Literacy, Hospice & Dying with Dignity; helping others to thrive & live proficient, productive, and prosperous lives. I conduct a Health/Fitness/Wellness program; conduct individual mentoring for single mothers & bereavement support to those who have witnessed the loss of a loved one; provide safety, solace, sanctuary and refuge to battered women, & the persecuted L.G.B.T members of our global (and humane) community. Most importantly: I am engaged in increasing the numbers in the Faith-Filled community of the believing Body of Christ; and leading other lost souls to Christ, in The Great Commission. I love to create songs, plays, community access TV formats, poetry, short stories, children's stories, 5-course meals & intimate cocktail & dinner parties, gardens, & healing workshops. I love to bowl, play tennis & softball, tailgating, March Madness & play a mean game of Bid-Whist, Spades, Canasta, Bridge & Chess; attending concerts & sporting events, fishing, having picnics, seafood boils on the beach, and backyard barbecues. I also love stained & blown glass, balloons, Sushi and jelly beans. I adore homemade lemonade, soups & ice cream, chamomile tea before bed, wine & cheese tasting, long walks, sunrises and sunsets; paintings, sculptures & photography that speaks volumes. I love to travel; experiencing world cultures, fashions, music, art, & cuisines. I have retired from the hectic & fast paced stress of life + seeking the approval of others to " doing me" - living a life of authenticity - relinguishment from dead things & dead works to living & loving more abundantly while breathing; and avoiding "watering weeds" and only cultivating the good seeds, in the good earth, with the good sun - as allowed by a Good God. "Goodness and Mercy shall follow me as I dwell in the house of the Lord forever." I am the oldest of 7; a widowed mother of 3, who are adults living independently; no grandchildren yet & one daughter in law. I try to impart hope, inspiration, worth & value onto all that comes in my midst. What centers me is love, comic relief, friends & family, old movies, watching westerns, animation, music, art, making new discoveries (especially about myself), ice cream, my morning cup of coffee (French Roast with a splash of pure vanilla & half & half)or a Costa Rican/El Salvadorian blend; dancing, a good workout, a good massage, a good read, baking, my hands in the dirt (gardening), meditation, rainy days at home with a pot of homemade soup or chili simmering on the stove & homemade bread in the oven; a long hot bath with candles & a glass of Merlot or Brandy: going to the zoo or state & county fairs, allowing the "child in me" to run free: meeting those that defy the odds & have overcome many obstacles, adversity & challenges themselves...who assist others to do the same: I marvel in successful blended families, long distance relationships, marriages that have lasted more than 50 years, being over 100 years old; loving step-parenting & adoptions, same-gendered partnerships, inter-racial and inter-faith marriages, the Special Olympics, neighborhoods of diversity, community activism & those that aid in the defense of others...despite their age, race, culture, or gender: and all make-overs that don't involve out-sourcing to plastic surgeons or interior decorators.
