"Owner Surrender" the tag on his crate said at the animal shelter that my husband and I visited while looking for a kitty to adopt. Why, we wondered, but the people at the shelter didn't know.
He looked at us, said something like "prrrrrrrn", stretched, and came to greet us. We fell in love with him right there and then. We named him Claudius, and brought him home.

Claudius has been living with us for two months now, and our days have certainly been more fun because of him. He makes us smile, he makes us laugh, he makes us forget about stuff that hapenned at work.

Silkstone, I subscribe to that theory also. My daughter and I spent hours in my neighbor's attic sitting with his cat and her kittens -- I called it kitten therapy.
look at my posts to see one that i've helped care for. i wish i could bring him home.
