The U.S. needs to stop carrying out war games with South Korea that skirt the border with North Korea, continually taunting and threatening the North Koreans. This is behavior extremely unbecoming of a great power. It is not unlike bullies in the school yard throwing their weight around.
The real problem with these war games, aside from the extravagant waste of money when people are suffering from joblessness and a quickly shrinking support web at home, is that accidents often happen, especially when you're simulating live fire conditions and the chaos of an actual war.
I still believe that the Cheonan explosion occurred because of the war games that the U.S. was then playing with the S. Korean military. Now we know that there was a mine laying exercise during these war games. The damage done to the Cheonan was consonant with hitting a mine, although it seemed a stretch of the imagination to believe that there could be any mines still remaining from a war over 50 years ago. Now that we know that they were actually laying mines during these war games, it's not a stretch of the imagination any longer. But do the American people have this critical piece of information? Somehow I doubt that.
I'm just warning everyone that if there is another "incident" with North Korea during these war games, don't believe the propaganda that ensues, firing up hatred towards North Koreans. In fact, I challenge all Americans to start loving the people we consider our worst enemies, such as we've been told to believe about the North Koreans. When you start spouting off your hatred, listen to yourself. This is exact opposite of how a supposedly Christian country should conduct itself. Didn't Christ say love your neighbor as yourself, love everyone. Maybe that's not so easy, and Christians in the U.S. are as intolerant and violent and aggressive as the Christians in the crusades and the Christians during the Inquisition. It's not different today. Christians are the biggest hypocrites in the world. They consider anyone who is not Christian to be fair game to torture and kill and demonize as the enemy. I am so done with Christianity.
And if there are any true Christians left in the United States, I challenge them to stop our military! I'd like to see some organizations by Christians to stop the wars, to stop the militarization of the U.S., to stop the drones, to stop the bombings, to stop the U.S. from attacking other countries and killing their populations.
