A Bizarre Day in the Neighborhood

Rate: 5 Flag

It's a beautiful day today.

I woke up this morning, looked out my window, and saw sunshine, blue skies, and big puffy clouds floating over the city. Spring, in general, makes me really happy. Escaping the grays of winter to find flowers is a great moment for me- beautiful white and yellow daffodils all over campus, pink blossoms on the cherry trees, and, my favorite, little pink bleeding hearts all over my campus.

I walk outside, wearing nothing but a light sweater, preparing for the warmth of the sun, and what do I find?

It's snowing. SNOWING. In April. With the sun shining and the flowers in bloom. Snowing.

Screw you, Global Warming.

If any of your neighbors saw you wandering around in the snow wearing only a light sweater, I'm sure their day was a bit bizarre also! : )
Haha, too true. I should be careful about that =P
Not to mention if Madame Beloved reads a headline like "A Bizarre Day in the Neighborhood" and has all kinds of worrisome images come to mind, primarily having to do with violence being afflicted upon certain college kids that she is, shall we say, very fond of, you could have to live with the guilt of giving her a HEART ATTACK.

Sorry. That was totally out of proportion. I'm tired. I work too much. It was ridiculously cold here, as well, and we are definitely not supposed to have to deal with cold now. And I miss you and Sam terribly. Wasn't in town nearly long enough. Big hugs and kisses to both of you.
Yeah, I got that same white stuff here in Cleveland. It still feels like spring, though. Go figure.
that's bizarre. what day was this? there's always a cold snap on my birthday (which is april 7th) because it snowed the day i was born, so it always has to be cold to commemorate. that is to say, i take the blame, if this occurred any time close to my birthday. lo siento. i love you!
