- Melissa Miles McCarter lives in Ironton, MO with her husband, step-son, two English bulldogs (Daisy and Boss Hog) and three kitties. She is working on her dissertation on postfeminist composition studies. She also has a small press, Fat Daddy's Farm; right now she is editing a new anthology on motherhood and loss, "Joy, Interrupted," and the ebook version of her memoir, "Insanity: A Love Story" came out in March 2012.
