Memories Made and Memories to Come

Rate: 4 Flag

Dim the lights to a tawny glow

And take the music way down low

Pop the cork and ready the glasses

Oh, how quickly time has passed us

Four beautiful children and one grandson

We have been blessed and we’re not yet done

Tomorrow heralds another year

And there’s so many more to come, my dear

We have travelled, more near than far

But we have time, we can wish on that star

To take us where our dreams have gone

Just you and me, my dearest one

We have known sadness and hurtful times

But with hope and faith combined

Our love is strengthened beyond a measure

And, you sweetheart, you are my treasure

Side by side, life’s path we travel

With surprises and mysteries yet to unravel

Memories made and memories to come

I’m looking forward to every one

An appreciation of what you have had and have now is so important...but what a gift for all that is to come!
You have some serious range, my friend.

I'm moving backwards - from your poem of depression to this happiness. Well done on all scales.
