Isolation

Alone

With thoughts unkind

Despair invades her mind

Echoing cold isolation

Forlorn

Yet here we are...

r-- and very nice.
May those isolated, forlorn thoughts be blown away soon, making room for the return of sunshine and blue skies! ~R
The foto and poem capture it.
Hoping this is not biographical, my friend, but may I say its beautiful and I love how the image fits in so well.
I also hope this is biographical. Love your (sort of?) cinquain.
I still haven't figured out what a cinquain is so it's not sort of to me. xxo
LK: this is a stunning combination of picture and words. Well done. R-
Nailed that feeling. Just nailed it. There's something almost onomatopaeic about "forlorn."
Desolation in both your words and photograph; beautifully done.
That's how I feel and you captured it. Beautifully done.
Isn't it amazing how so few words can resonate such power, such truth. I so understand right now.
JD: Yes, you and some other friends are here and I'm no longer alone! Thank you! I am very blessed!

Fusun: I had a chat to the most wonderful friend and now I'm feeling so much better! Although it's been raining here, I see nothing but sunshine and blue skies now!

Gardenia: Hi! It's lovely to meet you and thank you for being here!

trilogy: Thank you for asking, sweetpea. All is wonderful in the world again!

fernsy: Thank you. All is well with me now. My last post has some info attached to it re Cinquains if you would really like to give it a go. I would love for you to try one ... I think they're really lots of fun to do!
Dave: Thank you for such wonderful and kind words.

Pilgrim: Wow! From you ... this means a heck of a lot to me. I did have to look up "onomotopaeic" and, yes, I agree! Thank you for the new word.

sophie: Thank you! I am so glad to see you here again.

patricia: I'm so sorry you feel this way. A big hug from me to you.

micalpeace: I think that's what I like so much about poetry ... the use of few and often raw words to convey feelings, emotions and sentiments. I am, however, sorry to hear that you understand this personally right now. A big hug from me to you. Take care. Cool beans!
I'm so sorry, Kate. I know and am very glad you're feeling better now. Amazing how something small can make such a big change in ones mood, isn't it?
Smithery: Sure is! Something as simple as talking to a wonderful friend can put a whole new perspective on life!
Loved how you captured the feeling of "forlorn" in the combination of words and picture. Gorgeous piece of writing.
RAR: Wow! Thank you for such a wonderful comment!
