Caring Hands

To care

Brings warmth and strength

As a winter’s eve fire

Soothes and braces a fading soul

With life

Caring is where God's love meets those in need on this dusty ball.
Nice Kate!

JD: Yes, JD. To care and share ourselves with those in need ... to give warmth, support, shelter, compassion, love and life ... is the most selfless and wonderful gift to give to another.
heidibeth: Thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and comment.
lovely and true! thanks Kate! Love the cinquain format!
Beautiful Kate - the form, the words, the feeling. Loved it.
What trilogy said. I especially like the increasing syllable count, that then ends sharply with the last 2. There's a formal strength there.
To read this on a dark, windy, lonely Hawaiian is fine indeed. Makes me feel like even I might struggle on and make it to the end.

Much warmth to you and yours tonight. Thanks Kate, lovely.
Yes, caring, and you are so good at it. Thanks. r-
Persistent Muse: Thank you! I like the Cinquain too!

trilogy: Now you, my friend, are the perfect example of a very caring person. Thank you, sweetpea!

DB: I seem to have gotten hooked on Cinquains in recent times. Glad you liked it!

Scylla: And you keep hanging in there my friend. Lots of love and hugs to you.

Kim: Aw, how lovely of you.

Dave: Look who's talking! The guy who cares and gives so much to all the poets on OS. Thank YOU!
Interesting that you would say the fire "braces," as "bracing" is usually applied to something cool, as though only chill, and not warmth, can invigorate. I think you're on to something there. Good job!
Pilgrim: Hi there! And THANKS! In this, I used 'braces' to mean 'support' and 'strengthen'.
Caring - what greater gift is there to give? Love the way you frame it here.
How beautiful and how true! YOU are a caring soul. Thank you.
anna1liese: None greater I believe anna1liese.

Patricia: What a lovely compliment. Although I try to do what I can, I know I should do so much more.
Kate..once again you have done it..a masterpiece.Wow, love this so much..love the pic for emphasis on the power of touch. Indeed lovely, as u r!
Jonathan: And that you are smiling, makes me smile too! Thank you.

Cindy: Oh no! I could not possibly believe it to be that good but YOU are lovely to say such nice things. Thank you!
Fay: Thank you so much!
