As Night Falls

Sunset from Home

Twilight
Mutely seals day,
Bestows a mellow kiss
And bids farewell. Dwindles away.
Night falls.

And if tonight my soul may find her peace
in sleep, and sink in good oblivion,
and in the morning wake like a new-opened flower
then I have been dipped again in God, and new-created.

~D.H. Lawrence

Oh Kate, how beautiful. Of course you won't find it odd when I say that I have the exact same photo as #1 taken in Italy. It could have been my (actually) sunrise. Since we went to Daylight Savings time today and our night came an hour too soon, it was so nice to see your beautiful pictures. Goodnight my good friend. (or should I say good afternoon?)
trilogy: I wouldn't find it odd at all! : ) It is Monday afternoon here, tril .... just after 3:30pm. I'm on DST here too .. we put our clocks an hour forward in early October.

So Goodnight to you my friend ... and Good Afternoon to me!
Beautiful photographs. Sarah and I often spend such time here in the islands watching and loving the end.

Grand strong poem of yours and Lawrence is excellent.
