A Challenge to J D Smith - Open Call

Rate: 17 Flag

I, along with many others, received a PM from our good friend, J D Smith, about a new writer here by the name of megcuppiecake.

It turns out, JD had challenged her to write a poem and he was, quite rightly, thrilled that she had answered his challenge with a lovely poem titled, Tonight ...I'm From Mars

Now here's the thing....  I have  been on the receiving end of one of JD's poetry challenges in the past and I know others have been too.   Sooooo .....  I think it's high time that the tables are turned and we set him a little challenge!

So what do you say?  Will you all be in on this with me?  I hope so!

So dear friend ... MR J D SMITH ...  I/We hereby challenge you to write a poem please in any form ... free verse, sonnet, cinquain, villanelle, triolet ... your choice.  And your subject is  ...

 CHILDREN

If there are others that would like to join in and take this challenge along with JD ... well  that would be just wonderful!  The more the merrier!

HAVE FUN!!!

Sheila: Glad you can come along ... I'll be looking for you!

sophieh: It should be fun! Join us if you like. If poetry is out of the question, prose would be great too!

RomanticPoetess: I'm sure JD won't disappoint! As I'm sure neither will you!

trilogy: I knew I could count on you, my friend! Thanks a million!

Cindy: Hey, thank you! This one should be right up your alley! You've got those lovely grandchildren for inspiration!

Marty'sHusband: Now that's a wonderful way to look at it! And yes, a child or children, are more precious an ingredient than even truffles! And I'm hoping you might join in too! Please?

Great challenge! I just posted. Looking forward to reading others. SO... will you be writing a poem about children :)??
