This rendition of Zorba the Greek by a troupe of young Aboriginal dancers in the Outback brings a smile to my face. I hope it does for you too.
The group call themselves 'The Chooky Dancers'. They come from Yolngu people in north eastern Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia.
ARE YOU SMILING NOW?
I HOPE SO!
LOVE AND BEST WISHES EVERYONE.

If it brought a smile to your day, then I am so very glad. : )
These young people are very traditional Australian Aboriginal dancers performing very much outside of their traditional realm. A real delight and a joy to see!

Our OS friends might not know that a "chook" in Australia is a chicken - I saw the chicken moves there ! Those guys are good.
Kim: Yes, I should have thought to mention about the chook! Thank you for letting our friends know!
The Good Daughter: As I understand it, the Gagadju of northern Australia have the longest unbroken culture in human history. Passing along their traditions for something like 40,000 years.

Yes, smiles are here. Loved it.
That dancer in the center pulled me right in.
Thanks!
Poor Woman: Now that makes it even richer! Country and Western meets Native Australian meets Greece!
timsored: Makes me smile that it put a smile on your face too!
