It was a courageous battle.
Both sides fought with bravado, determination and chivalry. Wonderful tactics were also employed ...some used sex appeal; others charm; some cute; some sad; some funny ... and all worked so well too!
Such was the Iron Poet Challenge of Love – the Battle of the Sexes!
Firstly, let me introduce you to the warriors and their weapons of choice. (If I've missed anyone, please don't hesitate to let me know.)
On the Men’s Team:
J D Smith – Love in the Winds of Chance
Blinddream – Singular Valentine
Blinddream – What’s Touching Me
Chuck A. Stetson - Simple Silence
Charlie Thornton - Languid Kissing Fusion
Kim Gamble - Dark Valentine (He)
And on the Ladies’ Team:
Michelle Coulter - A Strong Hand
Foolish Monkey - Hello Handsome
froggy - Ambivalent Valentines
Rita Shibr - Dark Valentine (She)
So who won the Battle?
If it were a battle of strength in numbers, we could perhaps argue that the ladies won. But what if it were a battle of skill and quality? Well they were all so darn good how good anyone possibly choose!
Let's call this one a draw shall we? Besides ... all is fair in love and war!
Well .... it is, isn't it?
