On this silent night

Ill winds
from time to time
waft through life
and there’s pain that hearts will know

His heart hears those silent tears
cried in a home half a world away

His lips whisper sweet words of comfort
and sing softly a lullaby
oh so gently they kiss lost eyes
and as he holds her close
in his tender embrace
like a baby, she falls asleep

And the moon
high above the water
gently kisses the sea
on this silent night

Just Cathy, I realised I missed responding to you! Sorry.

I could look for hours at the moon sometimes and be lost deep in thought ... but where the moon kisses the sea ... well ... I could drift away in the beauty of that for eternity. (Gosh I think I'm becoming inspired to write another poem! LOL!)
