Noriega on the lawn

(Steph asked to see a picture of the 8'by 4' Noriega for Senate sign in my front yard and here it is large and in charge and lashed to four wooden stakes sunk a foot and a half into the ground to keep it from blowing away)

Long suffering Barkley

(Stellaa asked for some bullish photos in response to all of the bears Friday in the pandamonium post.  This is the best I could do.  Yes, barkley the schnauzer is long suffering.)

LOL! Thanks for making me smile. I would LOVE to see Noriega win in Texas. As a transplant to Dallas, I was told that no one gets elected who isn't GOP. Times are changing!
Sarah O'Leary, Noriega is within five percent of Cornyn but he has no money to counter the constant barrage of TV ads Cornyn has been running for weeks now. I am leaving to do more block walking for him with my neighbors.

I am not a member of the Democratic Party, but Noriega is impressive and right on the war, the wall, and other Texas issues. So I am doing what I can for him in my neck of the woods. We need him to make up that five percent and come out on top.

I follow local and state politics very closely and you might be surprised by which party holds the majority of state representative seats after Nov 4th.
Stellaa, he needs every penny as he is being out spent 7 or 8 to 1.

As I mentioned to Sarah, Cornyn is constantly on TV with duplicitous ads and Noriega will be lucky to afford TV the week before the election.

If we want universal single payer health care and all those other things, races like Noriega's are the ones that should be our focus. The presidential race is sucking away all the money and media attention to the detriment of the down ballot.

Even so, Noriega is with in striking distance.
Wow, LT! Thanks for the gift!

And I love Barkley (and his name and owner) and would love to see more pictures of him. I am a small dog person too and love to dress her up much to her discomfiture. (THe promise of food can make a difference here.) My favorite outfit was a cap made from the heel of one of my husband's socks which looked like it was straight out of Dickens.

Thanks, LT!
Clothing your dog puts your edge in jeopardy.

You will have to be extra hard next week to live this down.
Way cute, LT. Barkley's costume seems more like a Dalmatian ( I have a Dal)

ePriddy is right.
Well, LT, looks like we are found out as secret dog dressers...

could be much worse...
I hate to disappoint everyone about me being a dog dresser, but the cow suit is actually the Halloween costume of my newest cousin who is a little over two months old. I mentioned to his mother that I was looking for horns or a cow suit or some way of turning one of the schnauzer herd into something bullish and she popped off about the baby's Halloween suit. And there you have it. One dog in a baby cow suit. Notice the snaps by his hind legs? I think they are there for easy diaper access.

The schnauzers do have polar tech coats for cold weather runs, but I'm not the sort to put them in tutus or other things. There is their German pride to consider. I have many photos of Barkley in his coat and doing all sorts of coolio dog things, so by long suffering I meant him being my photo dog. Bleu doesn't care for photo ops at all and Ninja (RIP) only tolerated the flash grudgingly.
I'm surprised he didn't pee on you for putting him in a cow suit.

Great pic, btw. May I inquire as to whom Barkley was named for?

Rated/appreciated.
Definitely like barkley! Bring on the photos!

I remember Noriega as a decent guy, never much liked Cornyn, so I hope Noriega wins. It was quite a big deal when he shipped off for Afghanistan in the middle of a term.
Bill S, All of the schnauzers came named. Ninja was a rescue from when I worked at the Pentagon. Bleu and Barkley were a unit from a cousin who married a Muslim and converted to Islam. Evidently the new spouse believes dogs are unclean. So I am unsure on the names. I just take them as they are. I do know that my cousin bought him from a breeder as a puppy where as I am Bleu's seventh home.

Barkley is very good about everything and didn't freak out at all with the cow costume. Before coming to casa Bohica he spent 16 hours a day in crate and has thrived on freedom. He and Bleu have the run of the house, a dog door and a yard.

merwoman, Noriega is against continuing any of the wars - Iraq, Afghanistan, Drugs. He wants true universal single payer health care and is against the huge fraud waste and abuse that is the border wall. In addition to shipping out to Afghanistan, he also lead the Rita/Katrina relief effort in Houston and made the care of the storm refugees very smooth. He rose from private to command the historic Alamo Brigade.

I am a staunch independent, eschewing all parties. I pick candidates and LT Colonel Noriega would be an excellent Senator for Texas.
more Barkley pics!!

"After watching the crap Senator Clinton took, I realized the Dems were not for me this year. This undecided independent is voting Green. They are the only party that has women's rights up front and center. Also, it will feel good to vote for two minority female candidates whose platform I can completely get behind with no reservations for a change. "
and thanks for posting the above the other day, my thoughts exactly
