Bio
I have been here, oh my, 2 or 3 years and in that time I have seen my youngest daughter wed and have my first beautiful granddaughter. I have seen a son join the Navy and fly away and I have buried my oldest son. This makes two sons I have lost and right now the world seems unfair and harsh but someday I will smile again and remember the good times more than the bad. Did I mention the alcoholic husband who has been in the hospital three times near death...it makes me wonder much about why some live, yet don't, and some die who are just starting to live. Out of 6 children I still have 4 and they are the light of my life....

I Sing The Body Imperfect....

Rate: 32 Flag

Just me a bit off key but my heart is here and the video portion I love, put it on big screen and you can hear the birds as well as see them.

I hesitated to post this BUT I have been hesitating all my life, waiting to be perfect and folks it just ain't gonna happen. I know that now.

Forgive my off key notes and please accept it in it's innocence...

Lunchlady, you are a brave one to do this so well.
Good for you.. HUGGGGGGGGG
If I sang, dogs would howl
Rated with love and thoughts of FAME>>:)
I hit play, closed my eyes, and listened. Such a pretty song, with a message I bet you can get behind. Keep singing for us, please!
I turned it up without the headphones on and Terri said "who is that Deanne Carter". I said no, thats the LunchLady. Great song and you sing the hell out of it.
AWWW, I can't listen to it right now...it won't play! I'll be back...love and love, LL...xox
Thank you
You do know you know how to sing, girl!
Linda, Brave maybe, but I think seeing how short life is I just needed to do this. I wish I had been braver sooner so my mom could have heard me.
Sixtycandles, the message is why I love this song and wanted to try and sing it. I have more I am going to try..
Scanner, a very nice compliment thank you, I really tried!
Robin, I hope it plays for you soon, I would love you to hear it.
Vanessa, I know I LOVE to sing I want to think I really can...
Your songs just keep getting better and better. Thank you.

LL2..I loved this...such a good song and you did a great job..I am so prouid of your confidence. I used to do karoke, won a few contests,(then again, they were drunk judges..lol).I wish I had what you had, to pull this off so wonderfully..I sooo enjoyed this! Bravo!
I enjoyed this so much LL2. Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for this generous slice of yourself! The shower and a solitary shower are the only places I belt one out....singing is such a gift!!! R
Frank, thank you!
Safe_Bet's Amy, First thanks, second I LOVE The Indigo Girls and third I was laughing so hard my boys came back to see what at and THEN the husband came back to see what I was singing, I had a head set on :). It's a mite high for me but I will get it on my ipod and see what happens...soon!
Cindy, all it takes is more wanting to know than fear, I finally reached that point. I would so love to hear you sing!
Veronica, thank you so much
The Wright Sight, thank you I thought maybe a lazy Sunday afternoon would be the best time to take a chance and post it.
Great song and very well done. Says it all doesn't it for so many people. -R-
A Persistant Muse, I just love singing so much..hearing myself live though is taking quite a bit for me to get used to. I sound different in just my own head :)
kateasley, and I truly love that you enjoyed it thank you
Patty Loveless would you give you a big "thumbs up"! Thanks, LL!
What an amazing job, LL. You are incredible. Wow.
So flippin' authentic and raw...You are a queen, Lady.
bravery is soooo good, friend. anyone can do something they ain't scared of doing. you rock. you really do. xox
Christine, It really does doesn't it....thank you
Catherine, I love the idea that Patty Loveless would approve... I love how she sings it.
Froggy, you make me smile thank you
Linnnn, you know I hadn't thought of this in that light, authentic and raw. I really like that idea, maybe I was only seeing the imperfections and not the song as a whole. Thank you for that..
Missing K8, you all blow me away, you too are so right if it was easy I wouldn't care but I care so much I fight my fear of failure to share...whew, thank you
Brave soul, indeed! Good for you. Sometimes you just have to sing and throw caution to the wind...pretty much all the time.
Lunchlady - this was beautiful. you get braver everyday and it shows.
This is very soulful, Lunch Lady. Way to go! Are you playing the guitar too?
Beth, I did another one awhile back so this makes three but yes if I don't just quit I will keep on the same song until I burn it out. So I am picking this one and stopping. This is the best I can sing this song :) When are you singing and sharing again?
Cindy, I copied the karaoke version of the song on my Ipod, I took my video camera, set it on this tiny tripod I bought that sets in my truck window I drive out where there are no people and a beautiful view and I SING! I have the ipod adaptor that lets me play it in my truck. I cannot wait to hear you!!
Trilogy, you are so right but if you knew how long it took me to hit post...but the point is I did, I wouldn't have last year at this time. Going forward...yay
Scarlett, I buy karaoke music, they have a bunch you can download for .99. I need to go back for more. I want to try White Rabbit next but we will see. I have to do I am Woman too. I guess until you all ask for mercy I will keep on singing :)
Oh, gosh, I could listen to you all day long!!!! Have you considered doing a CD??? Seriously? And don't worry about "off notes" - to my ears they actually add texture - about the only thing "perfect" I'm interest in my world is my all beef hot dogs. Everything else is SUPPOSED to be a little imperfect. What a great video!!!!! msp
Wise . . . and you can sing! Thank you for sharing this. Fondly, HB
Kitd, You always make me smile, if I knew how to do a Cd I might consider it just to hand down to my children and grand children. It would be cool to have a small child wide eyed ask "is that really nana"?
Hells Bells, thank you so much I feel I could have maybe tried one more time and gotten the notes purer but sometimes I have to just walk away. It means so much to hear others think I can sing too.
You are so gorgeous, it's beauty made me play it a second time so I could do a country line waltz. I have been craving one all weekend and I really wanted one today. Thanks for letting me be a swallow, it was magic to waltz with a friend.
l'Heure Bleue, I am happy to have helped and our dance, I imagine, was wonderful! I am so happy!
Bravo! I love brave acts. I enjoyed it very much. Very, very cool...
Spudman, thank you I feel so glad I took the leap of faith and posted this. I am going off for the night but thank you all for making my day!!
This was lovely! This one played for me just fine. I loved the content of the song as well.
This is so cool! You are so brave! If you lived around here, I'd drag you to an open mic night at the Pig's Eye, cuz you are ready.
LL - I have a perfect remedy for you. Hopp a train and ride it, on the top, legs dangling over the forward-facing end so you can feel the wind. SO you can see the countryside and the clacking wheels, the swaying cars, the wind in your face. It will cleanse your soul. (just don't get sucked by the train :-)

Another heartland song, LL. I like your sound.
Past Voices, I am so glad it played...even though yes it is a sad song. I will find a happy one next!
Greenheron, oh we would have so much fun! I love open mike nights we just never have them around here anymore or they are in a yuppy type bar and the Pig's Eye don't sound yuppy :)
Boomer bob, that sounds so free, so perfect, but this scared of heights thing I have may make it impossible...Trains are HUGE! I am happy you like my voice, I am enjoying finding it again.
Still wishing I had audio. Admiring you anyway!
"You don't even know who I am."

The is a world of people that can say this to one another...but I am glad you shared a bit of ourself here with us.
Nicely done, LL2.

Oh geez, you got me choked up and gave me goosebumps. Everybody should do a video of themselves doing something they love and fear at the same time. The world might be a kinder, gentler place if we did. I love you out there!
This honest and humble rendering brought me tears today LL... with the birds in the background. I love it.
Damn you are good..it brought tears to my eyes too..love this..you must do more!
