Bio
I have been here, oh my, 2 or 3 years and in that time I have seen my youngest daughter wed and have my first beautiful granddaughter. I have seen a son join the Navy and fly away and I have buried my oldest son. This makes two sons I have lost and right now the world seems unfair and harsh but someday I will smile again and remember the good times more than the bad. Did I mention the alcoholic husband who has been in the hospital three times near death...it makes me wonder much about why some live, yet don't, and some die who are just starting to live. Out of 6 children I still have 4 and they are the light of my life....

One More Night Down

Rate: 38 Flag

My son is still fighting, they have placed him on a cooling blanket to help his fever and changed his antibiotic again to the strongest they have.

Suzie was there yesterday and they asked her if we had folks praying for him and she told them so many, halfway across the world even and our younger sisters entire South Carolina congregation.

As I thought about this I visualized the Dr's being amazed how he is still with us, how he is still fighting and their thoughts going to how incredible prayer really is.

Your prayers and hugs and good thoughts are being heard and felt by us all.

We have covered his window with pictures and my sister has even put a collage with captions so he becomes a person to the staff, they love looking at his pictures.

I will be going back tomorrow, if everything stays the same, to stay the night again and will send more information as I can.

Do not worry if you don't hear from me as that, I would think, will be a good thing.

You all are amazing and I thank you from my entire family for your loving  support.

I have faith in him Terri. He is so strong and fighting with all his might. I have much hope for him.
Sending a positive vibe here for you and yours Lunch Lady. xo
Prayer/sending up thoughts, is very powerful. Still praying here and expecting him to get better.
Candles, prayers, and incantations will continue . . . and hugs to you, LL2 . . .
Keep hoping and praying. LL. So glad we can be here for you.
Still with you in hope and prayer, Lunchlady. Please come back with good news. Sending you thoughts of blessings and healing.

Think, when you worry that he suffers longer than he should, that it is him that is fighting to stay, perhaps he is telling you "Just awhile longer, hang on for awhile longer, let's fight." Don't let go Terri until you're sure he has. I think you'll know if that happens. For now he wants to stay and you're all in this together. You can do it.

Rated for pain with meaning.
He is your son which means he has a lot of fight in him.
I believe in miracles!
Stay strong and know so many of us are sending you all our prayers and love.
Your son in fighting for his life and we are cheering him on, LL. We'll be right here.

You are right -- one more night down, then face the next....thoughts and prayers from Texas to you -- and kudos for the pictures, being there, talking about him really helps the staff see him as the person he is....one more day..
I have a candle lit for him. Stay strong.
Thinking of you all.
May everyone's love surround and support you, all of you, as you face these hours.
Healing thoughts are coming your way from the Pacific Northwest. We are all with you.
Prayers from my Methodist congregation in Kansas City Missouri,...and of course me.
Prayers for healing.
Prayers for comfort.
Prayers for love.

Hang on tight Terri.
I love that you did a collage so the staff knows who he is. It matters that every hand that touches him cares. Prayers continue. I'm on a spiritual retreat this week-end and will include all of you in our prayers.
May all the good wishes and prayers uphold you and your family. Positive vibes can bring results so we'll keep on sending them.
I'm wishing hard for your son and for you.
A very tough lad fighting the good fight. He and you are in my thoughts.

You are amazing. There is a spirit inside you that comes out in these posts and tells me what is important in life. Thank you for that.
Oh dear LL, may the sky open and rain down upon you the blessings of the ages. All my best to you in you hour of need.
Lovely Lady, I'm on a rather long road trip at the moment and you and Joey entered my thoughts as I've travelled along.

I will continue to hold you in prayers ... and in my thoughts and heart.

All my love
Kate
Mine are with you all.
prayers from my church youth group and congregation. Know that you and your son and your family are loved and supported.......
My congregation at the Assisted Living Home have been praying, with me, for your son, too. So add 15 senior citizens in Brooklyn, plus their middle-aged Pastor, to the list. Things do sound more hopeful than they have in a while. I will, of course, continue my prayers for all of youse!
There is a Methodist congregation here in E'ville, IL, along with this invalid who are holding you in prayer. I am also holding you in my heart and constant thoughts. Look in your PO box early (I hope) next week!
Which son is this? I just read your last three posts and can't figure it out. What happened to him? What caused the lung infection? I'm so sorry you're having to go through all this. I'm sorry he is so sick....
Hi Love Life - the entire story is laid out in earlier posts, just persuse back through them. Farther then 3 if need be. It's all there.
Adding my prayers, support, hugs and loves to the choir here.
Keeping my fingers crossed here LL. If OS support counts for anything, he'll pull through.
