That is incredible. I did a double-take both times.
And you know, at night, these things break free and move around, right?
All of these are trees near where I work and live. I pass the running guy coming and going every day. The eye watches me when I fix my coffee behind Burger King. And the little kid sitting under the tree by the water got knocked away by a storm a few days after I took its picture.
When I said I needed to stop on the way home one day and take a picture of the branch that looked like a kid about to run in front of my car, both of my kids knew exactly what I was talking about. That made me feel much better about their sensitivities. The whole world is personified for them, too.
The running guy is extremely cool. I didn't see the little kid until you said "little kid" and then I could see it. You have a good eye.
It's true. The trees are giving you the fisheye while you have your coffee. Nice photos, thanks for sharing.
Scruffus! When you woke up, you WEREN'T a bird! Nice to see your "person"!
My mom always took gorgeous photos of trees as she and my dad traveled. It drove him nutty, but I think she understood that trees are old souls. Did you ever read "The Wild Trees"? Talk about old souls - the trees in that book are awesome! I love how trees always manage to create a kind of symmetry, no matter how deformed they appear to be at first glance.
