Bio
I am an ex-prostitute/dominatrix from the UK. Now a writer/artist on the rights of pro-prostitution issues. A stigma buster & a advocate for the renewal of social values to be bestowed to sexworkers. I have had 30 years experience in the sex industry, both bad & good. experienced what its like to be brutally attacked & survive, after being charged with murder of a client, facing the stigma`s involved in the legal & media world for sexworkers. My stance is `non-victim`, rather see experiences as lifes trials & adventures which are there for the learning & the empowering if looked at from a inquiring & balanced viewpoint. Sexworkers are both amateur & professional in their career choices, some people get this mixed up & see sexworkers as `the same! This is far from the truth. many sexworkers have never had reliable advice or support, whilst others have shared their knowledge & grown as a result of this type of networking. These are intelligent & pro-active sexworkers who rarely get the chance to be heard outside of the sex industry world. These are also sexworkers who help humankind, are real carers & real teachers. Teaching & caring for those who otherwise would be damaged or lost in their conceptions of both what sex is about & the inner aspects of both male & female that sits within us all! respect for gender & respect for sex is the forward & healthy way for humankind. Little is discussed about the real aspects of both sex & sexuality in mainstream media. Which is a sorry indictment on societies, considering the amount of advertising for sex that available. I believe the emotions around relationships & sex should be readily discussed & debated from a young age & in the education system. A way to truly prepare the future generations for the right kind of choices to make in their own futures. I also believe that violence both against women/children & or sexworkers `could` be radically reviewed or changed during this process.

The arguement against having children.

Rate: 0 Flag

The irresponsibility of humans en masse is almost parasitic in its needs.
I know this may be a bee in the bonnet to many, but come on lets stop having so many children.
I am sick of hearing women with one, two or more children saying `I`m broody`! Nothing more infuriates me!
We see kids/babies unwanted, under nourished & yet in any country, in any town at anytime you will hear this selfish & self nurturing statement.
Yes I know women have a drive within to have children, but it does`nt mean they should have them. There are so many ways we can `stread our seed upon this earth` without popping out another teddy bear!
The things we do, the help we offer, the stories we share, & many others are `spreading seeds`.
China has institutions that are filled with little girls that nobody wants....africa cannot feed those they bear...western world has its share of thoughtless pregnancies..etc!
yet in many cases religion itself stops their believers from taking responsibilty for this flow of `another miracle`! or stops them from having abortions because `it is a life`! Well so is a fly, so is a cow, so are badgers..yet we swot or cull these to our satisfaction..yet when it comes to ourselves `we are different`!..how?...tell me why my human life is different to any other?
Tell me when you see a small animal in pain & suffering & it is put down for its own relief, is that different to humans!
Human management sucks in view!
Wars are the only human management we see in action..albeit not one I particularily believe in..but at times understand it could be necassary!
The rest of the time we breed like rabbits, we condone the privilaged having fertility treatment & thousands lobby against abortion or any contraception at all!
hence my original statement as to humans are parasits on this earth. If as many religions state `we are born in the eye of god/or imbibed with god within`...then use the brains god gave us..look around..go outside your box of emotions & wants..& see our own responsibilities...see how this is affecting all our environments & the nature around us & our future on this earth!

Yup. They have three kids then complain about time, energy, money of having three kids. Fucking duh.
There is a train of thinking, that if a species feels threatened, it reproduces at a faster speed..ie: when flowers are lacking water they go to seed, as with people who are poor they too reproduce!
Or after war situations the populations boost!
So therefore the over-population of the world is a political / environmental & social issue, rather than being the blame of people personally!

I personally feel it is time we re-educated ourselves on environmental, social & sexual issues. As much of what we have learnt & what is absorbed through generations before is religiously based!
Not in my view a good place to start!
Lynne, I am not sure where you are coming from on this. If I had read some of your previous blogs it may help to understand your thought lines on this.

Sometimes there is irresponsibility regarding the approach to reproduction etc, but is there more here to the generalisation? I am merely asking the question to understand.

I do note though that you have sought to draw illustration from China, for example, where the Communist govenment have for some years legislated on this whole subject. It may be helpful to look at the background to some of these places. Just a thought.

I`m just coming from my thoughts around a conversation I heard about abortion, both the pro`s & con`s of the right to abort a child. I tend to spiral in various directions but hope it gets to the right place.
Maybe you need to read some of my other writings to better understand my style...maybe!
