When I got my Masters I decided to celebrate. I had a 14 year old daughter who loved VAMPIRES and so I signed up for the Dracula and Transylvania Tour in 2009.
The landscape was beautiful and the castles were just tiny compared to Gemany and England, but they had rustic flare, all the same.
We visited a Romanian Orthodox Church and the chainmail and crown are supposedly Dracula decendent located in the estate pictured below.
Brasov is the city of the town square.
Four days of beauty and our tour guide was able to remember starving as a child under the dictator Nicolae Ceausescu during Cold War. She was eight when the regiem collapsed. Electricity and basic food were luxury and could not be counted on.
All in all, it was an amazing trip.
