Gun Control Ideas for Less Deaths
1. When I mail a package I have to identify who I am, where I live and in triplicate. Therefore, gun owners have to register at "some place" a form in triplicate identifying where they currently live and where the "final destination" of their gun is going. Every time that gun is near people.
2. Tax ammunition, but keep tax low. Create a database tracking quantities-hooked up local and statewide. So, if XYZ buys 6,000 rounds that that purchase and their current address is flagged. I'd go for .01 cent per bullet, and that tax goes to gun safety classes and college funds of children orphaned by guns.
3. I take off my shoes and open up my pocketbook to see if I am concealing a bomb prior to boarding a plane. I think there must be a "plan of safety" with details of their training, their intentions and how they plan to store their firearms when not in use.
These would be "a hassle", but you know, I pay for the privilege to mail packages and gladly identify myself. I pay for the plane seat, and willingly take my shoes off and am fine with the discomfort. In both situations I am not being denied my Constitutional Rights, but I'm assuring that there is a system in place to catch that horrible distorted human who has no hesitation in taking life.
Do what is simple. Keep it broad- nationwide and start counting children who need additional care because a bullet ended a caregiver’s life. All taxes paid for guns and ammo go to gun education and college funds for children affected negatively by guns.
