WILL SOMEONE GIVE MY HUSBAND A JOB?
Meet Arnold Cohen. Arnold is intelligent. He was a Merit Scholar. Arnold taught himself how to to program in Dbase, and HTML. He can design web pages . He can create a data base. He has also built computers. These are all self taught.
He is very personable. He was a top salesman so he has the gift of gab. He is a superb closer. He knows how to price something so the customer is happy and the company makes money. Yet his sales skills go beyond his numbers. When he sold cars his customers would invite him over to their homes. One couple had horses and he spent a day riding. Another couple had a farm and he got a tour. His customers also recommended their friends and family to him. Naturally, they were loyal to him. This was an honor to Arnold.
In addition to his sales skills he has excellent managerial skills. When he was a new car manager he boosted sales and morale for his staff. He is an excellent motivator.
He also has good bookkeeping skills. He does not love bookkeeping but he is fairly competent at it.
He is punctual. He rarely misses a work day. He will also adhere to a dress code and not complain. When he was a mortgage broker he went to work in a suit, tie and long sleeves in the heat of summer. He also does not mind working evenings. He has worked Saturdays for many of his jobs.
He has had an array of jobs and he has remained at these jobs for many years. He is loyal.
He sold cars. He was a New and Used Car Manager.
He owned a consulting firm. This firm helped businesses get merchant accounts. In addition the firm showed clients how to fraud proof their mail order or phone order business. Arnold created this fraud proofing system from research and experience. The system was renowned. When Rocky Mountain Bankcard viewed the fraud proofing system they asked if they could use the system.
Arnold was a mortgage broker. He was hired lacking mortgage experience. His boss hired him because he felt Arnold was more than capable of learning the details of mortgages. Arnold's boss wanted him because he felt Arnold could connect with the clients and gain their trust. There is a comfortable feeling and connection when you are dealing with Arnold. Clients never felt he was shady or a fast talker. They trusted him and thought he was an up front guy. Arnold's mortgage transactions were done face to face in the office.
He had two blogs when he was a mortgage broker. One was http://denver.yourhub.com/mortgages4you and the other was http://denver.yourhub.com/~iworkhere.
One of his mortgage clients bought him a gift. They felt he saved their lives with the magic he worked for them. He did not make a lot of money on this transaction. This couple was sold a mortgage that was not to their best advantage. They wanted to get out of it in the worst way. Many mortgage brokers turned them away. Arnold should have turned them away for the amount of work he put into their re finance and for the small commission he earned. He did not and he made a couple very happy and relieved.
Arnold worked as an employment consultant. This was a phone position and he contacted people throughout the USA. He consulted with Ph d's, business owners, managers, Vice Presidents anyone who was earning $45,000 plus. His job was to explain to his leads what the company would do for them, what their chances were of locating employment on their own versus through this company. He also reviewed their resumes and goal assessment sheets. He also helped his leads with their marketable skills. His goal was to have the lead contact sign up with the company for an employment package. He was quite good at this job. It was new to him because he was used to selling in person. He was not sure how he would do selling over the phone. He did great.
He is also a quick learner.
So why doesn't he have a job? I would say God only knows. Would someone please give him a job? He would be an asset to your firm.
